Rachmawati, DestaliaLanni (2015) Komposisi Atonik Dan Air Kelapa Pada Pertumbuhan Bud Chips Tebu (Saccaharum Officinarum L.). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The production of sugarcane plantations in Indonesia has decreased from the year 2012 (2.592.600 tons) until in 2013 (2.554.700 tons) (BPS, 2014). The cause of the decline in production of sugarcane can be attempted with the supply of planting materials (seeds) in sufficient quantity and quality. Efforts to provide mass planting material in a relatively short time and superior quality seed can be done through methods of bud chips (the buds). The use of bud chips in seeding sugar cane had some superior quality than conventional with the use of seeds where bud chips able to simplify in the transport of seeds, seeds free from pest and illness and can be obtained seeds pure (Prasad, 2007). However, the nursery of the sugarcane with the bud chips were growth roots and shoots not same and somewhat slowly on the bud chips derived from the middle of the stem and the growth of the shoots were there are still a few (Selvia, Meiriani, and Hasanah, 2015). Efforts should be made to overcome this problem is by giving PGR (plant growth regulator) to stimulate the growth of seedlings bud chips. The purpose of this research was 1) to study the effect of composition Atonik and Coconut Water on seedling growth of sugarcane bud chips varieties of Bululawang, 2) to determine the best concentration of the composition Atonik and Coconut Water on seedling growth of sugarcane bud chips varieties of Bululawang. The hypothesis can be submitted was the concentration Atonik and Coconut Water the best seeds can increase the growth of sugarcane bud chips varieties of Bululawang. The research will be done in February 2015 to Juny 2015 in The Central Sugarcane Plantation Research PT. Perkebunan Nusantara X (Persero), Plosoklaten, Kediri with a height between 156-327 m above sea level. The tools used in this research were labels, polybag 25 cm x 30 cm, mulsa, net, plastic bag, beaker glass 1000 mL, drum sterilizer, thermometer, water basin, Sugarcane Drilling Machine, Portable Hot Treatment, ruler, camera, meter, automatic scale, amplop, and oven. The materials used are sugarcane bud chips Bululawang variety, Atonik, Coconut Water compost, soil, and Nordox (bactericide, insecticides and fungicide). The research method used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used were K0= Without Atonik and Coconut Water (as a control), K1= 80% Atonik Composition + 20% Coconut Water Composition, K2= 60% Atonik Composition + 40% Coconut Water Composition, K3= 40% Atonik Composition + 60% Coconut Water Composition, K4= 20% Atonik Composition + 80% Coconut Water Composition, K5= 0% Atonik Composition + 100% Coconut Water Composition, and K6= 100% Atonik Composition + 0% Coconut Water Composition. Observation of germination bud chips done with non-destructive with observation parameters as follows: power germination, index vigor, and while emerging buds). Observation of growth bud chips done with non-destructive and destructive methods with observation parameters as follows: non-destructive (plant height, iv plant length, number of leaves, number of tillers and stem diameter) while the destructive (root length, root volume, root system, fresh weight of roots, stems and leaves, dry weight of roots, stems and leaves). Observational data obtained were analyzed variance (F test) at 5% level. F test is used to determine the effect of treatment on the growth and diversity of growth sugarcane bud chips due to the provision of treatment Atonik and Coconut Water composition. If the results of analysis of variance showed a significant effect, then was continued LSD (Least Significant Difference) with level of 5%. The results showed the influence real caused Atonik and Coconut Water composition to germination and growth bud chips sugarcane on the parameter observation power germination, index vigor, while emerging buds, number of leaves, number of tillers, root length, root volume, fresh weight of root, and dry weight of roots. The giving composition 40% Atonik was added 60% Coconut Water can increase the maximum growth in the bud chips sugarcane Bululawang varieties, but not different and similar to the growth of other various compositions Atonik added Coconut Water.
