Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk pengelolaan tanah yang mengarah pada peningkatan jumlah populasi dan aktivitas mikroba tanah, selanjutnya berperan mendukung pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman, serta berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah a) Mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pupuk organik dan anorganik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung, b) Mengetahui pengaruh penambahan pupuk organik dan anorganik terhadap peningkatan jumlah populasi bakteri dan jamur, serta aktivitas mikroba tanah baik laju respirasi tanah maupun aktivitas dehidrogenase tanah. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi dan Kesehatan Tanah dan rumah kaca, Balai Penelitian Tanah Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 7 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tanaman jagung sebagai indikator tanaman. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi pupuk organik dan anorganik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pupuk organik dan anorganik yang mampu meningkatkan produksi dan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung. Perlakuan NPK rekomendasi + 2 ton kompos/ha (P-II) mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman jagung dan memiliki hasil produksi. Perlakuan NPK rekomendasi + 2 ton kompos/ha (P-II) dan ½ NPK rekomendasi + 2 ton kompos/ha (P-IV) mampu meningkatkan laju respirasi aktivitas dehidrogenase tanah, serta mampu meningkatkan jumlah populasi mikroba, baik populasi bakteri maupun populasi jamur.

English Abstract

This research was conducted for land management to increase soil microbe activity and population, that would play a role in the cycle of nutrient elements in soil then acted to support the growth and yield of plants, as well as sustainable. The purpose of this research were a) to know how the combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers in boosting corn’s growth and production, b) to know how the addition of organic and inorganic fertilizers to increase the population of bacteria and fungi, as well as microbial activity between soil respiration and the dehydrogenase activity. Research was done in the laboratory of the soil biology and greenhouse, Soil Research Hall of Bogor. This study used a Randomized Design Group (RAK) with 7 treatment and 5 replicates. This research used corn as an indicator plant. The research’s treatments were using a combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers. The results of this study showed that the combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers which were able to increase production and plant growth of corn. NPK treatment recommendations + 2 tonnes/ha of compost (P-II) was able to increase plant growth of corn and corn production. NPK treatment recommendations + 2 tonnes/ha of compost (P-II) and ½ NPK recommendations + 2 tonnes/ha of compost (P-IV) was able to increase the rate of soil respiration and dehydrogenase activity, as well as being able to increase the amount of microbial populations, either bacterial or fungal population.
