Abstract

Beras sebagai bahan pangan diperlukan setiap hari sebagai kebutuhan pokok manusia selain sandang dan papan. Seiring dengan itu, tuntutan bahan pangan semakin hari semakin meningkat baik jumlah maupun mutunya. Berbagai tindakan dilakukan manusia mulai dari penyimpanan hingga pengolahan hasil panen. Penyimpanan merupakan tahap pasca panen yang sangat penting karena selama penyimpanan produk pasca panen dapat mengalami perubahan kualitas maupun kuantitas. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui serangga yang berasosiasi pada beras dalam gudang penyimpanan.Penelitian dilaksanakan di Gudang Beras milik Perum BULOG Sub Divisi Regional Malang dan di Laboratorium Hama, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Juli hingga Oktober 2012. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengamatan secara langsung di Gudang Beras. Pelaksanaan peneletian meliputi pengambilan sampel beras dan penangkapan serangga menggunakan perangkap di dalam Gudang Beras. Sampel beras diambil pada setiap stapel yang dipasangi perangkap dan pada saat pengadaan. Pengambilan sampel beras pada stapel berasal dari 4 sisi stapel yang pada setiap sisinya diambil 5 titik pengambilan sampel secara diagonal. Perangkap yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Perangkap Cahaya Ultra Violet yang diletakkan di dua sudut Gudang Beras secara diagonal, Perangkap Lekat Warna Kuning ditempatkan pada sisi kanan dan kiri stapel sejumlah 2 perangkap dan diletakkan secara diagonal, Perangkap Jatuhan diletakkan satu perangkap pada sisi kanan dan kiri stapel, Perangkap Corong Bersusun yang diletakkan di tengah-tengah Gudang Beras dan Perangkap Umpan diletakkan di lantai tepat di bawah stapel beras.Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa ditemukan serangga family Braconidae, Cryptolestes ferrugineus, Tribolium castaneum, Tribolium confusum, Rhyzopertha dominica, Oryzaephilus surinamensis, Sitophilus oryzae, Sitotroga cerealella, dan Liposcelis spp. pada Gudang Beras. Berdasarkan hasil peletakan perangkap Perangkap Cahaya Ultra Violet, Perangkap Lekat Warna Kuning, Perangkap Jatuhan, Perangkap Corong Bersusun dan Perangkap Umpan, keragaman tertinggi diperoleh dari hasil penempatan perangkap cahaya Ultra Violet dan keragaman terendah diperoleh dari penempatan Perangkap Umpan. Jumlah serangga tertinggi adalah Liposcelis spp.sebanyak 17070 ekor dan Jumlah serangga terendah adalah Sitophilus oryzae sebanyak 12 ekor.Pada sampel beras hanya diperoleh empat spesies yaitu Cryptolestes ferrugineus, Tribolium castaneum, Rhyzopertha dominica, dan Sitophilus oryzae. Sampel Beras yang berasal dari proses pengadaan memiliki keragaman lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan Sampel Beras yang berasal dari stapel. Jumlah serangga tertinggi adalah Sitophilus oryzae sebanyak 26163ekor. Kemudian Cryptolestes ferrugineus100 ekor, Rhyzopertha dominica14ekordan populasi terendah yaitu Tribolium castaneum 7ekor.

English Abstract

Rice, as a food stuff has been a necessity for daily needs of people beside clothing and housing as well. In the development, the demand of food stuff has increased day by day from both its quality and quantity. There are so many proceeding done by people from processing yields to post-harvest storage product. Storage is the most important thing to do in the whole phases of post-harvest, because it could have changed whether from the quality or quantity of stored products. Thus, it should be done a research concern to the kinds of insects associated with the rice in the storage.This research was done in the Rice Storage owned by Perum BULOG Sub Divisi Regional Malang and also in the Entomology Laboratory on Departement of Pests and Plant Pathology at the faculty of agriculture of Brawijaya University Malang. It was held from July to October 2012. The method used in the research was direct observation in the rice storage. The executions covered from rice sampling and insects capturing using traps in the storage. The rice sample was taken in every staple where the traps placed and when the procurement. Rice sampling in the staple was derived from four sides of staple which was taken five points of sampling diagonally. The traps used in the research was Ultraviolet Light Trap that put on the two edges of the storage diagonally. Yellow Sticky Trap was put on in both right and left sides of staple in amount of two and put diagonally. Pitfall Trap was placed in amount of one in the right and left side of staple. Line Grain Trap was placed in the center of Rice Storage and Bait Trap was placed under the rice staple.Identification was the way to obtain the result of the research found the insects of Braconidae’s family an insect of species Cryptolestes ferrugineus, Tribolium castaneum, Tribolium confusum, Rhyzopertha dominica, Oryzaephilus surinamensis, Sitophilus oryzae, Sitotroga cerealella, dan Liposcelis spp. Those were the result according to the trap placement of Ultraviolet Light Trap, Yellow Sticky Trap, Pitfall TrapLine Grain Trap and Bait Trap. The highest diversity was obtain from Ultraviolet Light Trap and the lowest was Bait Trap. The average of highest population was Liposcelis spp in amount of 17070 tail and the lowest was Sitophilus oryzae in amount of 12 tail only. In the rice samples, there were only obtained four species those were Cryptolestes ferrugineus, Tribolium castaneum, Rhyzopertha dominicaand Sitophilus oryzae. Rice sample came from the procurement process had lower diversity compared with rice samples derived from staple. The highest population was Sitophilus oryzae in amount of 26163 tail. The next was Cryptolestes ferrugineus, in amount of 100 tail, Rhyzopertha dominicain in amount of 14 tail and the lowest was Tribolium castaneum amount of 7 tail.
