Abstract

Letusan Gunung Kelud Yang Terjadi Pada Tanggal 13 Februari 2014 Menyebabkan Hujan Abu Di Beberapa Daerah Di Pulau Jawa. Pemanfaatan Abu Vulkanik Sebagai Media Tanam Telah Diuji Sebelumnya Oleh Beberapa Ahli. Zuraida (1999) Menyatakan Bahwa Pemanfaatan Abu Vulkanik Kelud Hasil Letusan Pada Tahun 1990 Dapat Meningkatkan Ph Tanah, Tinggi Tanaman Dan Berat Kering Tanaman Oleh Karena Terkandung Mineral Yang Bermanfaat Bagi Tanaman. Tujuan Dari Penelitian Ini Adalah Mempelajari Pengaruh Kombinasi Media Tanam Pada Tanaman Jagung Manis Dan Menentukan Kombinasi Media Tanam Yang Paling Baik Untuk Tanaman Jagung Manis. Hipotesis Yang Diajukan Adalah Terdapat Interaksi Antara Kombinasi Tanah, Kompos Sampah Kota Ub, Pupuk Anorganik Dan Abu Vulkanik Kelud, Serta Kombinasi Perlakuan Tanah, Kompos Dan Abu Vulkanik Kelud 30% Adalah Media Terbaik Untuk Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis. Penelitian Dilaksanakan Pada Bulan Agustus Sampai November 2014 Di Dusun Ngujung, Desa Pandanrejo, Batu. Alat Yang Digunakan Adalah Polibag (40 × 50 Cm), Ayakan Bertingkat, Oven, Jangka Sorong, Timbangan, Gembor, Cetok Dan Lam (Leaf Area Meter). Bahan Yang Digunakan Adalah Abu Vulkanik Kelud Yang Diambil Dari Desa Bogokidul, Kecamatan Plemahan, Kabupaten Kediri Dengan Jarak ± 20 Km Dari Kaki Gunung Kelud, Kompos Sampah Kota Ub Dan Pupuk Anorganik (Urea, Sp-36 Dan Kcl). Penelitian Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (Rakf) Dengan Dua Faktor Yaitu Komposisi Media Tanam Yang Terdiri Dari M0: Tanah, M1: Tanah+Kompos, M2: Tanah+Pupuk Anorganik, M3: Tanah+Kompos+Pupuk Anorganik, Dan Dosis Abu Vulkanik Kelud Yang Terdiri Dari A0: Tanpa Pemberian Abu Vulkanik Kelud, A1: Abu Vulkanik Kelud 15%, Dan A2: Abu Vulkanik 30% Sehingga Didapatkan 12 Kombinasi Perlakuan Yang Masing-Masing Diulang Sebanyak 3 Kali. Pengamatan Dilakukan Saat Tanaman Berumur 14, 28, 42, 56 Dan 75 Hari Setelah Tanam Yang Meliputi Luas Daun, Bobot Kering Total Tanaman, Laju Pertumbuhan Tanaman, Bobot Segar Tongkol Tanpa Kelobot, Bobot Segar Tongkol Dengan Kelobot, Diameter Tongkol Dan Panjang Tongkol. Data Yang Didapatkan Dianalisis Menggunakan Analisis Ragam (Uji F) Dengan Taraf 5% Yang Bertujuan Untuk Mengetahui Nyata Atau Tidak Nyata Pengaruh Dari Perlakuan. Apabila Terdapat Beda Nyata, Maka Dilanjutkan Dengan Uji Bnj Dengan Taraf 5%. Berdasarkan Hasil Penelitian Bahwa Terdapat Interaksi Antara Berbagai Kompos Media Tanam Dengan Dosis Abu Vulkanik Kelud Terhadap Luas Daun Dan Bobot Tongkol Tanpa Kelobot Per Tanaman. Penambahan Abu Vulkanik Kelud Sampai 30% Tidak Memberikan Pengaruh Nyata Terhadap Pertumbuhan Vegetatif Meliputi Luas Daun, Bobot Kering Total Tanaman Dan Laju Pertumbuhan Relatif Tanaman, Serta Tidak Memberikan Pengaruh Terhadap Produksi Tanaman Jagung Manis Meliputi Berat Tongkol, Diameter Tongkol Dan Panjang Tongkol. Namun, Abu Vulkanik Yang Dicampurkan Tanah, Kompos Dan Pupuk Anorganik Dapat Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis.

English Abstract

The Eruption Of Kelud Mountain Which Occurred On February 13th 2014 Caused Ash Rain In Many Areas Of Java Island. The Use Of Volcanic Ash As Growth Media Had Been Tested Previously By Many Researcher. Zuraida (1999) Stated That The Use Of Kelud Volcanic Ash From The Eruption In 1990 Could Improve Soil Ph, Plant Height And Dried Weight Because It Contained Of Useful Mineral For Plant. The Goal Of This Research Was To Learn About The Influence Of Growth Media Combination To The Sweet Corn Plant And To Determine The Best Growth Media Combination For Sweet Corn Plant. Hypothesis That Submitted Was There Might Be Interaction Between Soil Combination, Garbage Compost Of Ub City, Inorganic Fertilizer, And Kelud Volcanic Ash, And Also Combination Of Soil Treatment, Compost, And Kelud Volcanic Ash 30% Might Be The Best Media For Growing And Produce Sweet Corn Plant. The Research Was Conducted On August-November 2014 In Ngujung Orchard, Pandanrejo Village, Batu. Equipment That Used In This Research Was Polybag (40 X 50 Cm), Multistep Sieve, Oven, Caliper, Scale, Watering Can, Spade, And Lam (Leaf Area Meter). Material That Used In This Research Was Kelud Volcanic Ash That Taken From Bogokidul Village, Plemahan District, Kediri Regency With ±20 Km Apart From Kelud Mountain, Garbage Compost Of Ub City, And Inorganic Fertilizer (Urea, Sp-36, And Kcl). The Research Used Factorial Group Random Design (Rakf-Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial) With Two Factors, Growth Media Composition That Consists Of M0: Soil, M1: Soil + Compost, M2: Soil + Inorganic Fertilizer, M3: Soil + Compost + Inorganic Fertilizer, And Dosage Of Kelud Volcanic Ash Consisted Of A0: Without Kelud Volcanic Ash (Control), A1: 15% Kelud Volcanic Ash, And A2: 30% Kelud Volcanic Ash. Thus, It Was Obtained 12 Treatment Combinations And Was Carried Out In Triplet. Observation Was Conducted When The Plant In 14, 28, 42, 56, And 75 Days After Planted Which Including Wide Of Leaf, Dried Weight Of Total Plant, Growth Rate, Weight Of Fresh Cob Without Husk, Weight Of Fresh Cob With Husk, Cob Diameter, And Cob Length. Data That Obtained In This Research Then Analyzed By Using Variant Analysis (F Test) With 5% Error Rate Which Aims To Know Real Or Unreal The Influence Of Treatment. Bnj Test With 5% Error Rate Would Be Conducted If There Was Real Difference. Based On Research Result, It Showed That There Was Interaction Between Various Composts Of Growth Media With Kelud Volcanic Ash Dosage To The Wide Of Leaf And Cob Weight Without Husk Per Plant. There Was No Significant Effect Of Kelud Volcanic Ash Dosage Until 30% To The Sweetcorn Vegetatif Phase Include Leaf Area, Dry Weight Of Total Plant And Relative Growth Rate, And There Was No Significant Effect To The Sweetcorn Production Include Cob Fresh Weight, Cob Diameter And Cob Lenght. But, Kelud Volcanic Ash Wich Mixed With Soil, Compost And Anorganic Fertilizer Can Improve Sweetcorn Growth And Yield
