Abstract

Application Permission merupakan bentuk perizinan aplikasi yang nampak sebelum dilakukan proses install atau update suatu aplikasi pada smartphone. Ketika aplikasi mengambil informasi pribadi smartphone user atau bahkan tidak, maka hal tersebut akan berhubungan pada perilaku dan pemahaman tiap smartphone user. Terdapat dua level smartphone user yaitu experienced smartphone user memiliki kecenderungan untuk tidak memberikan informasi pribadi mereka. Sedangkan level non-experienced smartphone user memiliki kecenderungan memberikan informasi pribadi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pemahaman antara experienced dan non-experienced smartphone user. Serta menganalisis apakah perbedaan pemahaman antara experienced dan non-experienced smartphone user tersebut berpengaruh pada perilaku mereka saat proses install atau update. Data yang dikumpulkan dari pengguna Android sebanyak 200 responden menggunakan metode Independent Sample T-test dan Regresi Linier. Hasil pertama adalah terdapat perbedaan pemahaman yang signifikan antara experienced dan non-experienced smartphone user. Hasil kedua adalah baik experienced dan non-experienced smartphone user, kedua level tersebut tetap akan melakukan proses install atau update walaupun sebagian dari mereka memahami dengan baik arti dari perizinan aplikasi.

English Abstract

Application Permission is an application licensee type which appears before to the install process or update an application in smartphone. Many of the applications say that the permissions were installed for take some personal information of smartphone user. When an application can take personal information of smartphone user or not even, so it will connect in the behavior and understanding of smartphone user. Smartphone user will be divided into two levels. Level experienced smartphone user have tendency for not provide their personal information. While the level non-experienced smartphone user have tendency for provide their personal information. This research aims to analyze the difference understanding between the experienced and non- experienced smartphone users. It will analyze, what is difference understanding between the experienced and non-experienced smartphone user have influence for their when the install process or update. Data collected from android user, it is about 200 respondents. The method that is used for analyze is Independent Sample T-test and Regression Linear. The result of research is gotten that is obtaining significant difference understanding between experienced and non-experienced smartphone user. Both of the result is the experienced and non-experienced smartphone user, there still will bring about install process or update, although a part of them understanding about application permission clearly.
