Ketahanan Beberapa Galur Dan Varietas Padi (Oryza Sativa L.) Terhadap Serangan Virus Tungro

Asrori, Samsul Huda (2014) Ketahanan Beberapa Galur Dan Varietas Padi (Oryza Sativa L.) Terhadap Serangan Virus Tungro. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Research endurance test against tungro disease of rice plants in the greenhouse is done Brawijaya University. This study was conducted by observing the intensity of tungro virus in several strains and varieties of rice to subsequently damage intensity, incubation period, plant height and number of leaves. Data results and the tungro disease percentage of observations in each strain of plant growth and rice varieties calculation of the index number of each variable with the method of Castillo et al, 1978 (in Heroetadji, 1983). Then classified by category tungro disease resistance. Symptoms that appear from the results of the experiment, each test is very diverse crop plants inoculated after tungro disease. Tungro symptoms that appear are the changing colors of leaves become yellowish and new leaves grow shortened and reduced the number of tillers. The experimental results of the endurance test of five lines and seven varieties of rice, the rice varieties found in the category Resistance (R) is Inpari13 varieties with an average percentage of 20.74% damage, virus incubation period of 16 days after inoculation (DAI), plant height 46 , 67 leaves of 8.67 cm and the number of strands. Plant trials which showed the highest percentage of damage is strain P90 with an average value of 41.73% damage percentage, 10 HSI incubation period, plant height and number of leaves 46.33 cm 8.33 strands. Thus, in this study the varieties were found to have resistance to tungro virus attack is Inpari13.
