Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi biochar, abu ketel, pupuk kandang dan kombinasinya terhadap kadar C-organik, nitrogen, bahan organik dan nisbah C/N tanah berpasir serta pertumbuhan awal tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.) di Asembagus, Situbondo yang dilaksanakan di lapang KP. Asembagus (Balittas), Situbondo pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juli 2013. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan satu faktor yakni bahan organik. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah tanpa bahan organik sebagai kontrol, biochar 10 t/ha, abu ketel 10 t/ha, pupuk kandang sapi 10 t/ha, biochar 5 t/ha + pupuk kandang sapi 5 t/ha dan abu ketel 5 t/ha + pupuk kandang sapi 5 t/ha. Perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Pengamatan dilakukan hingga 16 minggu setelah tanam. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi 10 t/ha memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kadar C-organik, nitrogen, bahan organik tanah berpasir. Nisbah C/N tanah terendah terdapat pada tanah kontrol. Namun aplikasi perlakuan mampu menurunkan nisbah C/N tanah awal yang termasuk kriteria tinggi. Perlakuan abu ketel 10 t/ha dan kombinasi biochar 5 t/ha + pupuk kandang sapi 5 t/ha berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan tanaman tebu. Hingga 16 minggu setelah tanam, aplikasi pupuk kandang sapi lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kadar C-organik, N-total dan bahan organik tanah berpasir dibandingkan dengan aplikasi biochar dan abu ketel. Aplikasi pupuk kandang sapi 10 t/ha pada tanah berpasir mampu meningkatkan kadar Corganik dan bahan organik tanah sebesar 57,44 % dan kadar N-total sebesar 15,9 %. Aplikasi biochar pada tanah berpasir memiliki nisbah C/N tanah lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan aplikasi abu ketel dan pupuk kandang sapi. Aplikasi abu ketel 10 t/ha dan kombinasi biochar 5 t/ha + pupuk kandang sapi 5 t/ha mampu meningkatkan jumlah anakan per tanaman tebu sebesar 10,53 % jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol.

English Abstract

The Purpose Of The Research Is To Known The Effect Of Biochar, Cane Boiler Ash And Cattle Manure On Soil Nitrogen, Organik Carbon Contents And C/N Ratio In Sandy Soil And The Early Growth Of Sugarcane (Saccharum Officinarum L.) At Asembagus, Situbondo Was Conducted At Kp. Asembagus (Balittas) On Januari Until July 2013. This Research Use Randomized Block Design With One Factor Is Organic Matter. The Treatment Is Without Organic Matter As Control, Application 10 T/Ha Of Biochar, Application 10 T/Ha Of Cane Boiler Ash, Application 10 T/Ha Cattle Manure, Combination From 5 T/Ha Of Biochar + 5 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure And Combination From 5 T/Ha Of Cane Boiler Ash + 5 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure. The Treatment Are Three Repeating. The Results Showed That 10 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure Treatment Are Significantly With Organic Carbon, Nitrogen, Soil Organic Matter In Sandy Soil. The C/N Ratio Of Control Soil (Without Organic Matter) Is Lower Than The Other Treatment. But, Application Of Organic Matter Can Reducing The C/N Ratio Of Sandy Soil. Application 10 T/Ha Of Cane Boiler Ash And Combination From 5 T/Ha Of Biochar + 5 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure Are Significantly With The Total Sugarcane Bud. Until 16 Week After Planting, Application Of Cattle Manure Was More Effective Than Application Of Biochar And Cane Boiler Ash For Increased The Organic Carbon, Nitrogen And Soil Organic Matter In Sandy Soil. Application 10 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure In Sandy Soil Can Increased 57,44 % Organic Carbon, 15,9 1% Total Nitrogen And 57,44 % Soil Organic Matter. Application Biochar In Sandy Soil Have More Higher C/N Ratio Than Application Of Cane Boiler Ash And Cattle Manure. Then, Application 10 T/Ha Of Cane Boiler Ash And Combination 5 T/Ha Of Biochar + 5 T/Ha Of Cattle Manure Can Increased 10,53 % Total Sugarcane Bud.
