Abstract

Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan, siswa kelas X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 02 Batu masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis puisi yang dinilai imajinatif, kreatif, dan inspiratif. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian tindakan kelas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi melalui metode Example Non Example perlu dilakukan sebagai penyelesaian masalah, dan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis puisi dengan memperhatikan tema, diksi, amanat, imaji, dan rima melalui metode Example Non-Example. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian yang dikembangkan oleh Elliot dan Edelman. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 02 Batu yang berjumlah tiga puluh siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil lembar observasi aktivitas guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan hasil pembelajaran menulis puisi siswa. Hasil pembelajaran menulis puisi siklus I terdapat dua puluh satu siswa dengan presentase 72,42% sudah mencapai KKM. Hasil dari pembelajaran menulis puisi siklus II terdapat dua puluh tujuh siswa dengan presentase 100% sudah mencapai KKM. Hasil menulis puisi pada siklus I ke siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 27,58% dari keseluruhan aspek penilaian. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 85,71%, dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 87,50% dari empat belas indikator penilian. Peningkatan hasil observasi aktivitas guru siklus II pertemuan pertama sebesar 91,08%, dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 96,42% dari empat belas indikator penilaian. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 81,81%, dan pertemuan kedua sebesar 86,36% dari sebelas indikator penilaian. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa siklus II pertemuan pertama sebesar 81,81%, dan pertemuan kedua 95,45% dari sebelas indikator penilaian.

English Abstract

Based on the preliminary study, students of Class X MIA 2 of SMA Negeri 02 Batu still have some difficulties in writing poetry which are considered imaginative, creative, and inspirational. Therefore, classroom action research to improve the ability in writing poetry through Example Non Example method needs to be done to solve the problem and improve the quality of learning. The objective of this research was to describe the ability in writing poetry by paying attention to the themes, diction, mandate, image, and rhyme through Example Non-Example method. This research used a research model developed by Elliot and Edelman. The data source of this research was the students of class X MIA 2 of SMA Negeri 02 Batu which consisted of thirty students. The data of this research obtained from the results of teacher observation sheet, students observation sheet, and the result of poetry writing learning of the students. The result of poetry writing learning in the cycle I showed that twenty one students with 72,42% percentage have reached the minimum standard score. The result of poetry writing learning in the cycle II showed that twenty seven students with 100% percentage have reached the minimum standard score. The results of poetry writing in cycle I to cycle II increased 27.58% of the overall assessment aspect. The result of teacher activity observation in the cycle I on the first meeting was 85,71%, and the second meeting was 87,50% from fourteen assessment indicators. The improvement of teacher activity observation result in the cycle II on the first meeting was 91,08%, and the second meeting was 96,42% from fourteen assessment indicators. The result of student activity observation in the cycle I on the first meeting was 81,81%, and the second meeting was 86,36% from eleven assessment indicators. The result of student activity observation in the cycle II on the first meeting was 81,81%, and second meeting was 95,45% from eleven assessment indicators.
