Abstract

Entisol merupakan tanah yang baru berkembang sehingga sangat potensial untuk dijadikan lahan pertanian baik tanaman pangan dan perkebunan, namun memiliki kekurangan, diantaranya memiliki tekstur pasir, rendahnya KTK dan unsur hara P, upaya perbaikan dapat dilakukan dengan pemanfaatan pupuk hayati dan pupuk organik, interaksi mikoriza dan pupuk kandang terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia, dan residu P tanah menjadi upaya dalam meningkatkan produktivitas jagung lokal madura. Tujuan dari penelitian ini: (1) mengetahui pengaruh interaksi pemberian mikoriza dan pupuk kandang terhadap sifat kimia tanah, dan residu P tanah pada Entisol Sampang, Madura. (2) mengetahui pengaruh interaksi pemberian mikoriza dan pupuk kandang terhadap produksi tanaman jagung (Zea mays L), pada Entisol Sampang, Madura. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya pada Februari sampai Juni 2017. Variabel Pengamatan meliputi pH, bahan organik (BO), KTK, residu P, berat pipilan jagung, dan jumlah spora mikoriza. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial (RAKF) dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan ditempatkan secara acak di rumah kaca, perlakuan terdiri dari M0D0 (kontrol), M0D2 (0% Mikoriza + 100% Pupuk kandang), M0D3 (0% Mikoriza + 150% Pupuk kandang), M2D0 (100% Mikoriza + 0% Pupuk kandang),M2D2 (100% Mikoriza + 100% Pupuk kandang), M2D3 (100% Mikoriza + 150% Pupuk kandang), M3D0 (150% Mikoriza + 0% Pupuk kandang), M3D2 (150% Mikoriza + 100% Pupuk kandang), M3D3 (150% Mikoriza + 150% Pupuk kandang). Data di uji dengan analisis ragam, dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Interaksi pemberian mikoriza dan pupuk kandang sapi secara nyata mampu meningkatkan sifat kimia tanah (BO, dan KTK), residu P tanah dan produksi jagung, sedangkan pada pH tanah secara nyata meningkat hanya dipengaruhi oleh masing-masing perlakuan. Hubungan antara residu P tanah berkorelasi positif dengan seluruh parameter. Semakin tinggi residu P tanah maka diikuti peningkatan produksi jagung. Interaksi pemberian mikoriza 15,98 g polybag-1 dan pupuk kandang sapi 42,6 g polybag-1 (M3D3), secara nyata mampu meningkatkan BO, KTK, residu P tanah dan berat kering pipilan jagung, dengan hasil tertinggi masing-masing 5,17 %, 13,78 me 100 g-1, 15,21 ppm, dan 108,34 g tanaman-1 dengan peningkatan 101,13%, 66,89%, 136,11% dan 87,21% dibandingkan kontrol.

English Abstract

Entisols are newly developed soils that have the potential to be used for agricultural purposes both producing food crops and plantations. However, these soils have disadvantages, including having a sand-like texture and containing low CEC and low P. Efforts that can be made to overcome the disadvantages are, among others, by combining biological and organic fertilizers and making interaction between mycorrhiza and manure within the soils to improve their chemical properties and residual-P. Such efforts were done in order to increase the productivity of Madura local corn. This study aimed at (1) determining the effect of the application of mycorrhiza and manure on chemical properties, and residual- P of Entisols in Sampang, Madura and (2) knowing the effect arising of interaction between mycorrhiza and manure on the production of corn (Zea mays L) of Entisols in Sampang, Madura. This research was carried out in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University, starting from February to June 2017. The variables of observation included pH, organic matter (OM), CEC, residual-P, weight of corn grains, and the number of mycorrhizal spores. This study used Factorial Randomized Block Design method with 9 treatments and 3 replications randomly placed in the greenhouse. The treatments consisted of M0D0 (control), M0D2 (0% mycorrhiza + 100% manure), M0D3 (0% mycorrhiza + 150% manure), M2D0 (100% mycorrhiza + 0% manure), M2D2 (100% mycorrhiza + 100% manure), M2D3 (100% mycorrhiza + 150% manure), M3D0 (150% mycorrhiza + 0% manure), M3D2 (150% mycorrhiza + 100% manure), and M3D3 (150% mycorrhiza + 150 % manure). The data were tested by using analysis of variance, followed by using DMRT and correlation tests. The results showed that the interaction of mycorrhiza and cow manure was significantly able to improve soils’ chemical properties (OM and CEC), residual-P, and corn production. Meanwhile, the pH was significantly increasing depending on each treatment given. The relationship between residual-P and is positively correlated with all parameters. The higher the residual-P level, the higher the increase in corn production. The interaction of 15.98 g polybag-1 of mycorrhiza and 42.6 g polybag-1 of cow manure (M3D3) was significantly able to increase OM, CEC, residual-P, and weight of dry corn grains by 101.13%, 66.89%, 136.11% and 87.21%, respectively, compared to the controls, up to the highest yields of 5.17%, 13.78 me 100g-1, 15.21 ppm, and 108.34 g plant-1, respectively.
