Abstract
Pada era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi yang sangat pesat beberapa tahun terakhir membuat meningkatnya jumlah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang manufaktur yang sama semakin memperketat persaingan di dunia industri. Maka dari itu, diperlukan investasi untuk menghadapi persaingan industri tersebut. PT. Orindo Alam Ayu merupakan distributor pusat dari produk kosmetik Oriflame di Indonesia. Dari tahun ke tahun penjualan produk Oriflame di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan yang pesat. Dengan adanya mesin labeling yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan sekarang, belum dapat memenuhi permintaan konsumen untuk tahun-tahun berikutnya, sehingga perlu mempertimbangkan penambahan mesin labeling di PT. Orindo Alam Ayu, dengan alternatif investasi mesin berupa membeli atau menyewa mesin labeling dengan spesifikasi mesin A atau mesin B. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis kelayakan ekonomi yang ditinjau dari dua aspek yang berbeda, yaitu aspek teknis dan aspek finansial. Dalam aspek teknis terdapat perhitungan dan analisis untuk menghitung waktu siklus, waktu normal dan waktu standar dari kedua jenis mesin. Setelah itu, dilakukan perbandingan output standar produk yang dapat dihasilkan oleh kedua jenis mesin dengan menggunakan metode Stopwatch Time Study. Hal tersebut digunakan untuk membandingkan target standar dengan output standar dari kedua jenis mesin labeling yang ada. Perhitungan aspek finansial berkaitan dengan keseluruhan biaya operasional mesin labeling, dengan menggunakan metode Net Present Value (NPV) dan Payback Period (PP). Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk analisis aspek teknis diketahui output standar untuk beli mesin A adalah sebesar 65 dos/hari dan untuk sewa mesin A adalah sebesar 58 dos/hari, dengan target produksi perusahaan adalah 52 dos/hari. Untuk mesin B, target produksi perusahaan adalah sebesar 50 dos/hari, sedangkan perusahaan dapat memproduksi sebesar 62 dos/hari. Sehingga alternatif investasi beli dan sewa mesin A maupun mesin B dikatakan layak dilaksanakan karena target produksi < output standar. Berdasarkan perhitungan output standar mesin tersebut, dapat diketahui kebutuhan mesin A mengalami penambahan dari tiga buah mesin, menjadi empat buah mesin dan untuk kebutuhan mesin B tidak mengalami penambahan jumlah mesin karena sudah memenuhi target yang telah ditetapkan perusahaan. Sedangkan untuk analisis aspek finansial menunjukkan bahwa alternatif beli dan sewa mesin A dikatakan layak, karena untuk alternatif beli mesin A memiliki nilai NPV sebesar Rp 4.090.633.923,00 dan untuk sewa mesin A memiliki nilai NPV sebesar Rp 4.087.703.380,00. Sedangkan untuk nilai PP beli mesin A adalah sebesar 1 tahun 1 bulan 13 hari dan untuk sewa mesin A memiliki nilai PP sebesar 1 tahun 1 bulan 15 hari. Sehingga apa bila ditinjau dari aspek finansial dan aspek teknis, alternatif investasi beli mesin A lebih menguntungkan bagi perusahaan.
English Abstract
In the era of globalization and rapid technological advances in recent years, the increasing number of companies engaged in the same manufacturing industry increasingly tighten competition in the industrial world. Therefore, investment is needed to face the industry competition. PT. Orindo Alam Ayu is the center distributor of Oriflame cosmetic products in Indonesia. From year to year sales of Oriflame products in Indonesia has increased rapidly. With the labeling machine owned by the company now, it is not able to meet consumer demand for the following years, so need to consider the addition of labeling machine in PT. Orindo Alam Ayu, with alternative investment in the form of buying or renting a labeling machine with the specifications of machine A or machine B. In this research, economic feasibility analysis is reviewed from two different aspects, namely technical aspect and financial aspect. In technical aspect there is calculation and analysis to calculate cycle time, normal time and standard time of both machine type. After that, make comparison of standard output of product which can be produced by both machine type by using Stopwatch Time Study method. It is used to compare standard targets with standard outputs of both types of existing labeling machines. The financial aspect calculation relates to the overall operational cost of labeling machine, using Net Present Value (NPV) and Payback Period (PP) method. Research shows that for technical aspect analysis it is known that the standard output to buy machine A is 65 dos/day and for machine rental A is 58 dos/day, with the company's production target is 52 dos/day. For machine B, the company's production target is 50 dos / day, while the company can produce 62 dos / day. So the investment alternatives to buy and rent machine A and machine B is said to be feasible to be implemented because the production target < output standard. Based on the calculation of the standard output of the machine, it can be seen that machine A needs to increase from three machines, to four machines and for machine B need not increase the number of machines because it has fulfilled the target set by the company. While for financial aspect analysis indicate that the alternative of buy and rent machine A is said to be feasible, because for alternative to buy machine A has value of NPV equal to Rp 4.090.633.923,00 and for machine rent A has value of NPV equal to Rp 4.087.703.380,00. As for the value of PP buy machine A is for 1 year 1 months 13 days and for rent A machine has a value of PP for 1 year 1 months 15 days. So what when viewed from the financial aspect and technical aspects, investment alternatives buy machine A is more profitable for the company.
