Abstract
UKM Tatsaka merupakan suatu usaha kecil menengah yang memproduksi batik yang terletak di Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. Dalam memproduksi batik terdapat beberapa proses produksi dimana salah satu prosesnya adalah proses pewarnaan batik. Proses pewarnaan batik dilakukan dengan menggunakan fasilitas kerja berupa colet yang menyerupai kuas, pewarna buatan serta gawangan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya keluhankeluhan rasa sakit dari pekerja bagian pewarnaan batik terutama untuk tubuh bagian atas. Keluhan-keluhan tersebut diketahui berdasarkan hasil penyebaran kuisioner Nordic Body Map yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keluhan dengan rata-rata frekuensi keluhan diatas 3 untuk tubuh bagian atas seperti leher, punggung, pinggang, bahu kanan, lengan bawah kanan dan pergelangan tangan kanan. Keluhan-keluhan dari pekerja tersebut jika dibiarkan secara terus menerus maka dapat menyebabkan potensi cidera Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) yang mungkin dialami oleh pekerja. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan analisis untuk mengurangi MSDs pada proses pewarnaan batik di UKM Tatsaka. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini akan digunakan metode Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) untuk mengetahui risiko MSDs yang mungkin dialami oleh pekerja berdasarkan exposure score maupun exposure level dari hasil perhitungan QEC. Selain itu juga dapat diketahui action level berdasarkan exposure score yang telah diperoleh untuk mengkategorikan apakah proses pewarnaan batik di UKM Tatsaka termasuk dalam kategori aman atau membutuhkan penanganan lebih lanjut. Selanjutnya, hasil perhitungan QEC digunakan sebagai dasar dalam melakukan perancangan ulang fasilitas kerja. Setelah adanya usulan rekomendasi perbaikan, selanjutnya dilakukan diskusi dengan pihak UKM Tatsaka terkait rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan untuk dilakukan perhitungan ulang nilai QEC. Perhitungan ulang nilai QEC bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan dapat menurunkan exposure score, exposure level maupun action level dari QEC. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 4 elemen kerja proses pewarnaan batik (peletakan gawangan, peletakan kain pada gawangan, pewarnaan kain dan penjemuran kain) terdapat 1 elemen kerja dengan action level yang berada pada rentang 50 – 69 % yaitu elemen kerja pewarnaan kain. Action level dari elemen kerja pewarnaan kain adalah 58,6% yang artinya bahwa untuk elemen kerja pewarnaan kain memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dan perbaikan dengan segera. Sementara itu, untuk 3 elemen kerja lainnya memiliki action level kurang dari 40% yang artinya ketiga elemen kerja tersebut dalam kategori aman. Selanjutnya berdasarkan perhitungan QEC diperoleh rekomendasi perbaikan berupa perancangan ulang desain letak fasilitas, usulan penggantian wadah/tempat pewarnaan, perancangan ulang gawangan, perancangan ulang alas pewarnaan, usulan rancangan kursi kerja, usulan pemberian APD untuk pekerja dan usulan pelatihan dengan memperhatikan faktor ergonomis. Berdasarkan rekomendasi perbaikan yang diusulkan tersebut, selanjutnya diperoleh nilai action level setelah adanya usulan rekomendasi perbaikan yaitu 46,3% yang artinya usulan rekomendasi perbaikan yang dilakukan membuat pekerjaan yang dilakukan mejadi aman tetapi masih diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut.
English Abstract
UKM Tatsaka is a small and medium-sized business that produces Batik located in Banyuwangi, East Java. In producing batik there are several production processes which one of the process is the process of batik coloring. Batik coloring process is done by using a brush (on the process of coloring batik it’s called colet), chemical dye and gawangan. This research is motivated by the complaints of pain from batik coloring workers, especially for the upper body. The complaints are known based on the results of the Nordic Body Map questionnaire which shows that there are complaints with an average frequency of complaints above 3 for upper body such as neck, back, waist, right shoulder, right forearm and right wrist. The complaints from the workers if it’s left continuously can cause potential injury Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) that may be felt by the workers. Therefore, in this research will be analyzed to reduce MSDs in batik coloring process in UKM Tatsaka. The approach used in this study is descriptive study. In this research, Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method will be used to determine the risk of MSDs that may be felt by the workers based on exposure score and exposure level of QEC calculation result. It also can be known action level based on the exposure score that has been obtained to categorize whether the process of batik coloring in UKM Tatsaka included in the category safe or require further handling. Furthermore, the results of QEC calculations are used as a basis for redesigning work facilities. After of the improvement recommendation, the next discussion was held with UKM Tatsaka for recalculation of QEC value. The recalculation of the QEC score aims to determine whether the improvement recommendation can decrease the exposure score, exposure level, or action level of QEC. The result of the research shows that from 4 elements of work process of batik coloring (laying of gawangan, laying of fabric in gawangan, fabric coloring and fabric drying) there is 1 work element with action level which is in the range of 50 - 69% that is work element of fabric coloring. The action level of the fabric coloring work element is 58.6% which means that for the work elements of fabric coloring requires further research and immediate improvement. Meanwhile, for the other 3 work elements have an action level of less than 40% which means that 3 work elements are in the safe category. Furthermore, based on the calculation of QEC obtained improvement recommendation in the form of redesigning the design location of the facility, the proposed of replacement of color’s place, redesign the gawangan, redesign the base of the coloring process, the proposed of design of the work chair, the proposed of provision of PPE for workers and training proposal with attention to ergonomic factors. Based on the proposed of improvement recommendation, the value of action level after the improvement recommendation is 46.3% which means that the improvement recommendation make the work done safe but still needed further research.
