Abstract
Hiperkolesterolemia adalah kondisi adanya peningkatan kadar LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) dan penurunan kadar HDL (High Density Lipoprotein). Yoghurt susu kambing mampu mengikat kolesterol berlebih dalam darah yang selanjutnya dibawa ke usus untuk dibuang bersama feses. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian yoghurt susu kambing dalam mempertahankan kadar normal HDL, LDL serta mengamati gambaran histopatologi ginjal tikus yang diberi diet hiperkolesterolemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan tikus (Rattus norvegicus) jantan strain wistar sebagai hewan coba yang dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan yakni kelompok kontrol negatif, kelompok hiperkolesterol, dan kelompok yang diberi tindakan preventif yoghurt dosis 300,600, dan 900 mg/kg BB. Variabel yang diamati adalah kadar HDL, LDL yang dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan uji Tukey α= 5% (P< 0,05), variabel gambaran histopatologi dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok perlakuan (P<0,05). Dosis 900 mg/kg BB adalah dosis pemberian yoghurt susu kambing terefektif yang mampu mengurangi penurunan kadar HDL sampai dengan 5,7% dan menekan kenaikan kadar LDL sebesar 6,61 %. Pemberian preventif yoghurt susu kambing dosis 900 mg/kg BB mampu mencegah kerusakan ginjal tikus Rattus norvegicus yang diberi pakan diet hiperkolesterolemia ditandai dengan ruang bowman yang mengelilingi glomerulus lebih terlihat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian yoghurt susu kambing secara preventif mampu mencegah penurunan kadar HDL dan menekan kenaikan kadar LDL serta mencegah kerusakan histopatologi ginjal akibat hiperkolesterolemia.
English Abstract
Hypercholesterolemia is a condition of increasing levels of LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and decreased levels of HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) .Goat’s milk yoghurt was able bind excess cholesterol in the blood which was taken to the intestines and discharged with feces. This research was aimed to know the effect of goat’s milk yoghurt in maintaining normal levels of HDL, LDL and kidneys histopatology of rat’s which given by hypercholesterol diet. This research used rat (Rattus norvegicus) wistar strain which divided into 5 groups were negative control group, hypercholesterolemic group, and the group with preventive yoghurt dose of 300,600, and 900 mg/kg of BW. The variables measured were the level of HDL, LDL analyzed with ANOVA and Tukey α= 5% (P< 0.05), histopathological kidney was analyzed descriptively. Results of research showed that were a significant difference between groups (P<0.05). Dose of 900 mg/kg of BW was an effective dose of goat’s milk yoghurt to maintain HDL level’s decreased to 5.7 % and suppress increased of LDL to 6.61 %. The preventive goat’s milk yoghurt dose of 900 mg/kg BW could prevent kidney histopathology of Rattus norvegicus which marked with visibility of bowman space surrounding the glomerulus. The conclusion of this study was goat’s milk yoghurt could prevent decreasing of HDL levels, suppressed increasing of LDL and prevent histopathology kidney damage caused by hypercholesterolemia.
