Abstract

Autoimmune thyroiditis (AITD) adalah penyakit autoimun yang menyerang organ spesifik kelenjar tiroid. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mempelajari peran yoghurt terhadap ekspresi TNF-α dan perbaikan gambaran histopatologi jaringan tiroid tikus (Rattus norvegicus) model AITD. Penelitian dibagi dalam 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol (A), kelompok AITD yang diinduksi NaI dengan dosis 0,05% selama 5 minggu (B), dan kelompok AITD yang diinduksi NaI dengan dosis 0,05% selama 5 minggu dilanjutkan terapi dengan suplementasi yoghurt sebanyak 109 cfu/ml/hari selama 4 minggu (C). Ekspresi TNF-α diamati dengan menggunakan metode imunohistokimia dan gambaran histopatologi jaringan dengan menggunakan pewarnaan Hematoxilin- Eosin. Terapi yoghurt pada hewan model AITD menimbulkan ekspresi TNF-α yang berbeda nyata pada tiap perlakuan (p<0,05) yaitu 0,446±0,29 % (A); 3,411±1,28 % (B); 1,303±0,53 % (C). Selain itu, yoghurt dapat memperbaiki gambaran histopatologi jaringan tiroid.

English Abstract

Autoimmune thyroiditis (AITD) is a specific-organ diseases appearance in thyroid gland. The aim of this study was to learn the role of yogurt on reducing TNF-α expression and histopatological in thyroid tissue in animal model Autoimmune thyroiditis. In this study, rats were divided into 3 groups : control group, AITD group that induced with NaI 0.05% on five weeks (B), and AITD group that induced with NaI 0.05% in 5 weeks and group that induced with NaI 0.05% in 5 weeks and got the therapy yogurt of 109 cfu/ml/day in 4 weeks (C). In this study, TNF-α expression were observed by immunohistochemistry and the histopathology of thyroid were observed microscopically. Yogurt therapy in animal model of AITD caused different respons of TNF-α expression (p<0.05), were 0.446 ± 0.29% (A), 3.411 ± 1.28% (B), 1.303 ± 0.53 % (C). Besides, yogurt therapy could repair histopathology of thyroid tissue.
