Abstract
Maloklusi merupakan bentuk hubungan rahang atas dan rahang bawah yang menyimpang dari bentuk standar yang diterima sebagai bentuk normal. Peranti ortodonti lepasan secara umum biasanya digunakan untuk mengatasi maloklusi ringan. Keberhasilan perawatan ortodonti menggunakan peranti lepasan dapat diukur menggunakan indeks PAR. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas perawatan ortodonti menggunakan peranti lepasan di Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Universitas Brawijaya Malang berdasarkan indeks PAR. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik observasional dan dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Universitas Brawijaya. Subyek penelitian ini sebanyak 30 pasien. Pengukuran skor indeks PAR dilakukan pada model studi dan model progress kontrol 4. Perbandingan skor Indeks PAR kedua model menunjukan tingkat keberhasilan perawatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan tingkat keberhasilan “sangat meningkat” pada 3 pasien, “meningkat” pada 24 pasien dan “tidak ada perubahan” pada 3 pasien. Analisa data menggunakan uji paired T-test (p>0,05) menunjukan perubahan skor indeks PAR yang signifikan dan efektifitas perawatan sebesar 45,29%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perawatan ortodonti menggunakan peranti lepasan di Rumah sakit Pendidikan Universitas Brawijaya dinilai efektif dalam menurunkan tingkat maloklusi pasien.
English Abstract
Malocclusion is a form of relationship of the maxilla and mandible which derivate from the standard form that is accepted as normal form. Removable orthodontics appliance widely use for mild malocclusion treatment. The improvement of this treatment can measured by PAR index. This research is aimed to prove the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment use removable orthodontic appliance in Teaching Hospital of Brawijaya Universty based on PAR index. This is a analytic observational study and held in Teaching Hospital of Brawijaya University. Pre-treatment cast and fourth progress control casts have been assessed by the Peer Assessment Rating (PAR index). Comparisson PAR index score both casts showed a improvement rate of treatment. The result of this research showed 3 patient in category "Greatly improved", 24 patient in category "Improved" and 3 patient in category "No Different". Data analysis using paired T-test showed PAR index score changes were significantly and the effectiveness of treatment of 45,29%. The conclusion is orthodontic treatment use removable orthodontic appliance in Teaching Hospital of Brawijaya Universty is considered effective in lowering levels
