Abstract
Daun Suruhan (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) mengandung bahan aktif flavonoid seperti tannin, saponin dan antrakuinon, minyak atsiri dan alkaloid. LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) sering disebut dengan kolesterol jahat, karena merupakan suatu lipoprotein berdensitas rendah yang membawa kolesterol dan trigliserida dari hati ke jaringan perifer tubuh. Masyarakat percaya bahwa daun suruhan (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) dapat menurunkan kolesterol dalam darah, tetapi belum pernah dibuktikan secara ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dekok daun suruhan (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) terhadap penurunan kadar LDL pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental laboratorik menggunakan randomize post test only control group desain pada 30 ekor tikus putih Rattus norvegicus strain wistar yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor tikus dan 1 ekor tikus cadangan. Kelompok kontrol negatif diberi diet normal, kelompok kontrol positif diberi diet tinggi lemak tanpa dekok daun suruhan, kelompok perlakuan 1 (P1) diberikan pakan diet tinggi lemak ditambah dekok daun suruhan konsentrasi 10%, kelompok P2 diberikan pakan diet tinggi lemak ditambah dekok daun suruhan konsentrasi 20%, kelompok P3 diberikan pakan diet tinggi lemak ditambah dekok daun suruhan konsentrasi 30%. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dilanjutkan dengan One Way Analisis Of Variance (ANOVA) dengan uji lanjutan Post Hoc Tukey, uji korelasi dan regresi. Hasil penelitian pemberian dekok daun suruhan dapat menyebabkan penurunan kadar LDL yang bermakna (p<0,05). Dosis optimal didapatkan pada konsentrasi 10% karena dapat menurunkan kadar LDL secara signifikan dibanding kelompok kontrol positif. Terdapat korelasi negatif antara peningkatan konsentrasi dekok daun suruhan dan penurunan kadar LDL. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi daun suruhan yang diberikan, maka kadar LDL tikus putih akan semakin menurun.
English Abstract
Suruhan Leaf (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) contains flavonoid active substance such as tannin, saponin and antrakuinon, atsiri oil and alkaloid. LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) usually called as bad cholesterol, because the lipoprotein has low density that brings cholesterol and triglycerides from heart to peripheral tissues of the body. Society believes that suruhan leaf (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) can reduce cholesterol inside the blood, but it has not been proved scientifically. The goal of this research knows the influence of suruhan leaf decoction (Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth) towards decreased level of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) on the white rat (Rattus norvegicus). The method of this research was laboratory experimental with randomize post test only control group design on 30 white rats Rattus norvegicus which was Wistar strain, that was divided into 5 groups and each group contained 5 rats and 1 reserved rat. Negative control group was given normal diet, positive control group was given high fat diet without suruhan leaf decoction, behavior group 1 (P1) was given high fat diet food plus suruhan leaf decoction with concentration 10%, group P2 was given high fat diet food plus suruhan leaf decoction with concentration 20%, group P3 was given high fat diet food plus suruhan leaf decoction with concentration 30%. Analysis used in this research were normality test, homogeneity test, continued with One Way Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) with extension test Post Hoc Tukey, correlation test and regression. The result of the research is giving suruhan leaf decoction can reduce LDL which means (p<0,05). Optimal dosage achieved in the concentration 10% because it can reduce LDL degree significantly compared to positive control group. There is negative correlation between increased concentration of suruhan leaf decoction and decreased level of LDL. It shows that the higher concentration of suruhan leaf is given, then the LDL level of the white rats will decrease.
