Abstract
Menyusui merupakan suatu proses pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) secara langsung dari payudara ibu. Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif secara nasional terus menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya usia bayi. Keberhasilan pemberian ASI dapat dipengaruhi oleh cara menyusui yang meliputi perlekatan dan posisi antara ibu dan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara cara menyusui dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 0-2 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sananwetan, Kota Blitar. Desain penelitian adalah survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan uji statistik menggunakan Chi Square. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November sampai Desember 2016. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 ibu yang memenuhi kriteria. Variabel independen yaitu cara menyusui dan variabel dependen yaitu keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif yang diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan wawancara. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan p=0,000 (< 0,05) dan Odds Ratio sebesar 93,5 hal ini berarti ibu yang menyusui dengan cara yang benar mempunyai peluang untuk memberikan ASI eksklusif 93,5 kali lebih besar dari pada ibu yang menyusui dengan cara yang salah. Posisi menyusui yang benar akan memberikan rasa nyaman kepada ibu dan membantu bayi melakukan isapan yang efektif sehingga dapat menstimulasi pengeluaran hormon prolaktin dan oksitosin. Posisi bayi sangat menentukan keberhasilan pemberian ASI karena dapat mencegah lecet pada puting susu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara cara menyusui dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi usia 0-2 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sananwetan Kota Blitar.
English Abstract
Breastfeeding is a process of giving breast milk (ASI) directly from the mothers breast. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding nationally continues to decline with age. The success of breastfeeding may be influenced by breastfeeding that includes attachment and position between mother and baby. This study aims to determine the relationship between how to breastfeed with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-2 months in the Sananwetan Community Health Center (Chc) Working Area Blitar City. The research design is an analytical survey with cross sectional approach and statistical test using Chi Square. This research was conducted in November to December 2016. Samples were chosen by using purposive sampling technique with the number of samples of 31 mothers who meet the criteria. The independent variable is breastfeeding and dependent variable is the success of exclusive breastfeeding which is measured using observation sheet and interview. In this study, p = 0,000 (<0.05) and Odds Ratio is 93.5 this means that breastfeeding mothers in the right way have an opportunity to exclusively breastfeed 93, 93 times greater than breastfeeding mothers in a wrong way. The right breastfeeding position will provide a sense of comfort to the mother and help the baby make effective suction so that it can stimulate the release of prolactin and oxytocin hormones. The position of the baby determines the success of breastfeeding because it can prevent blisters on the nipple. The conclusion of this study is there is a significant relationship between breastfeeding with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-2 months in Sananwetan Community Health Center (Chc) Working Area Blitar City.
