Abstract
Kawasan Wisata Bersejarah di Pusat Kota Sumenep merupakan salah satu kawasan yang memiliki banyak peninggalan bersejarah dan digunakan sebagai wisata budaya. Kawasan ini terletak di pusat Kota Sumenep dengan kepadatan penduduk yang cukup tinggi, sehingga terjadi perubahan fungsi penggunaan lahan di sekitar kawasan bersejarah yang dapat merusak citra kawasan, selain itu mulai hilangnya beberapa tradisi dan event yang ada di kawasan wisata budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kualitas kawasan wisata bersejarah di pusat Kota Sumenep, agar ditemukan arahan kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kawasan. Pertama dilakukan deskripsi mengenai karakteristik kawasan wisata bersejarah di Pusat Kota Sumenep, kemudian dilakukan analisis faktor menggunakan penilaian kualitas kawasan bersejarah di Pusat Kota Sumenep berdasarkan responden penduduk tetap dan wisatawan. Sehingga diperoleh beberapa faktor peningkatan kualitas kawasan berdasarkan responden penduduk tetap dihasilkan sebanyak 4 faktor sedangkan faktor yang terbentuk berdasarkan responden wisatawan sebanyak 5 faktor. Berdasarkan hasil kondisi eksisting dan faktor-faktor yang terbentuk diperoleh variabel yang terpilih untuk dilakukan rekomendasi peningkatan kualitas Kawasan Wisata Bersejarah di Pusat Kota Sumenep, variabel tersebut diantaranya sarana penyampaian kritik dan saran kepada pemerintah, fasilitas keuangan, fasilitas wisata, kebersihan kawasan, penerangan pada malam hari, fasilitas rekreasi, dan aktivitas budaya.
English Abstract
The Historical Tourist Area in the center of Sumenep City is one of the areas that has many historical heritage and is used as culture tourism. This area is located in the center of Sumenep City with high density population, resulting in changes of land use around the historic area that can damage the region image and began the loss of some traditions and events that exist in the culture tourism area. The purpose of this research is to identify factors that affect the quality improvement of The Historical Tourist Area in the center of Sumenep City, in order to find police directives to improve the quality of the area. The first thing to do is describing the characteristics of The Historical Tourist Area in the center of Sumenep City, then do the factor analysis using the quality assessment of the historic area in the center of Sumenep City based on the respondents of permanent residents and tourists. There are several factors of quality improvement of the area, based on the permanent resident respondents there are 4 factors, while based on the tourist respondents there are 5 factors. Based on the existing condition and the factors that have been obtained, the selected variables for recommendation of quality improvement of The Historical Tourist Area in the center of Sumenep City are the delivery of critics and suggestions to the government, financial facilities, tourism facilities, cleanliness of the area, night lighting, recreation facilities and cultural activities.
