Abstract
Candida albicans merupakan salah satu penyebab utama terjadinya keputihan atau yang sering disebut kandidiasis vaginalis. Dibutuhkan suatu alternatif pengobatan untuk permasalahan tersebut dengan penemuan pilihan terapi antifungi dari alam, seperti ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efek antifungi dengan melihat daya hambat dan daya bunuh ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa) terhadap jamur Candida albicans. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan metode dilusi tabung ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa).. Setelah uji pendahuluan, didapatkan konsentrasi kelompok ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa) 0%, 7,5%, 15%, 22,5%, 30%, 37,5%, 45%, 52,5%. KHM ditemukan pada konsentrasi 7,5%. KBM ditemukan pada konsentrasi 52,5%. Analisa statistika dengan Shapiro-wilk untuk uji normalitas data didapatkan nilai p=0.239 (p>0,05), untuk varian data didapatkan nilai p=0,98 (p>0,05). Uji analisa statistik menggunakan one way ANOVA didapatkan nilai sig. p=0.00 (p<0,05) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada perubahan konsentrasi ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa terhadap jumlah koloni Candida albicans serta terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara konsentrasi ekstrak dan jumlah koloni (R=-674). Uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak maka semakin sedikit jumlah koloni jamur yang tumbuh. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak flavonoid buah mahkota dewa memiliki kemampuan sebagai antifungi terhadap jamur Candida albicans.
English Abstract
Candida albicans is one of the main causes of vaginal discharge or called candidiasis vaginalis. So it needs an alternative treatment for these problems with using of natural selection of antifungal therapy, such as a flavonoid extract of God’s crown fruit (Phaleria macrocarpa). The aim of research is to determine the effects of antifungal by looking for inhibition and fungicidal power of flavonoid extract of God’s crown fruit (Phaleria macrocarpa) against Candida albicans. This study was an experimental study using the tube dilution method from flavonoid extract of god’s crown fruit (Phaleria macrocarpa). After preliminary testing, the concentration group of flavonoid extract of God’s crown (Phaleria macrocarpa) are 0%, 7.5%, 15%, 22.5 %, 30%, 37.5%, 45%, 52.5%. MIC was found at a concentration of 7.5%. MFC was found at a concentration of 52.5%. Statistical analysis with the Shapiro-Wilk normality test p value = 0.239 (p> 0.05), for the variant data is p value = 0.98 (p> 0.05). Test statistical analysis using one way ANOVA obtained sig. p = 0.00 (p <0.05), which means there are significant differences between the concentrations of flavonoids extract God’s crown with the number of colonies of Candida albicans and there is a strong relationship between the concentration of the extract and the number of colonies (R = -674). Correlation test showed that more higher concentration of extract make more less growing number of colonies. Based on these studies, it can be concluded that the flavonoid extract of God’s crown fruit have ability as an antifungal against Candida albicans fungus.
