Abstract

Senam Ergonomis merupakan aktivitas fisik atau olah raga yang mengkombinasikan gerakan otot dan pernafasan. Senam ergonomis bermanfaat memaksimalkan suplai oksigen ke otak sehingga dapat menciptakan keadaan tenang dan rileks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam ergonomis terhadap skor stres pada lansia di UPT Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia di Blitar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi-Experimental dengan jenis rancangan pre-test and post-test dengan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan didapatkan sampel 24 responden yang terbagi menjadi 12 responden kelompok perlakuan dan 12 responden kelompok kontrol. Skor stres diukur sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi senam ergonomis dengan menggunakan kuesioner DASS 42 yang telah dimodifikasi dan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji t Berpasangan dan Uji t Tidak Berpasangan. Berdasarkan Uji t Berpasangan didapatkan nilai p=0.000 (p<0.05) pada kelompok perlakuan yang berarti senam ergonomis dapat menurunkan skor stres pada lansia secara signifikan dan p=0.884 (p>0.05) pada kelompok kontrol yang berarti tanpa intervensi senam ergonomis tidak dapat menurunkan skor stres pada lansia. Sementara pada Uji t Tidak Berpasangan didapatkan nilai p=0.000 (p<0.05) dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa senam ergonomis dapat menurunkan skor stres pada lansia. Saran penelitian ini adalah senam ergonomis dilakukan secara teratur sebagai aktivitas fisik harian lansia sehingga membantu menurunkan skor stres secara optimal bagi lansia yang tinggal di panti sosial lanjut usia.

English Abstract

Ergonomic exercise was a physical activity or sport which combines respiration and muscle motions. Ergonomic exercise maximizes oxygen supply to brain, creating stable and relax body condition. This research aimed to determine the influence of ergonomic exercise towards elder’s stress score in UPT Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia in Blitar. The research design used was Quasi-Experimental with pre-test and post-test design using control group. The sampling method used in this research was purposive sampling which then generated 24 samples consisted of 12 respondents as a treatment group, and 12 others as control group. The stress score was measured before and after ergonomic exercise using modified DASS 42 questionnaire, then being analyzed using paired t-test and unpaired t-test. The result acquired based on paired t-test was p=0.000 (p<0.05) for treatment group which meant that ergonomic exercise could reduce elder’s stress score significantly; and p=0.0884 (p>0.05) for control group which meant that without ergonomic exercise, the elder’s stress score could not be reduced. Meanwhile, unpaired t-test showed that the value of p=0.000 (p<0.05), concluding that ergonomic exercise could reduce elder’s stress score. This research suggests to carry out ergonomic exercise regularly as an physical daily activity of elderly who live in nursing home to assist their stress score decrease optimally.
