Abstract
Perkembangan motorik kasar pada bayi sangat dipengaruhi oleh nutrisi. Nutrisi untuk bayi dapat diperoleh dari ASI. Pemberian ASI eksklusif membantu otak bayi untuk proses mielinisasi jaringan saraf dan otot. Oleh karnanya, bila bayi usia belum 6 bulan tidak mendapatkan ASI eksklusif, maka proses mielinisasi tersebut boleh jadi berkurang optimalisasinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan perkembangan motorik kasar pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif dan Non ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 110 ibu dan bayi usia 6-12 bulan yang mendapat ASI eksklusif dan Non ASI eksklusif. Rincian sampel yang digunakan adalah 55 responden yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif dan 55 responden yang mendapatkan Non ASI eksklusif. Instrumen penelitiannya adalah wawancara dan lembar observasi. Variabel independennya adalah bayi yang mendapat ASI eksklusif dan Non ASI eksklusif. Variabel dependen adalah perkembangan motorik kasar. Frekuensi ASI eksklusif dengan 55 responden diperoleh baik 83,63%, cukup 10,90%, kurang 5,45%. Sedangkan pada bayi Non ASI eksklusif dengan jumlah responden yang sama diperoleh baik 49,09%, cukup 36,36%, kurang 14,54%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa proporsi perkembangan motorik kasar yang baik cenderung lebih tinggi dua kali lipat pada bayi dengan ASI eksklusif dibandingkan bayi yang Non ASI eksklusif, faktor tersebut diperkuat oleh hasil Uji statistik Mann-Whitney (P= 0,000). Oleh karnanya penelitian ini menegaskan kembali manfaat ASI eksklusif bagi peningkatan kemampuan perkembangan motorik kasar pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan bila dibandingkan dengan bayi yang Non ASI eksklusif.
English Abstract
Gross motor development of the baby is influenced by nutrition. Nutrition for baby can be obtained from breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding help the baby’s brain for myelination process of nerve and muscle tissue. Therefore, baby who received non-exclusive breastfeeding before six months, then the process of myelination may be reduced to optimize its. Purpose of this research was to determine the differences of gross motor development on 6-12 month-old baby who breastfed exclusively and non-breastfed exclusively. This study used observational design with cross sectional approach. Sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population total in this study were 110 mothers and 6-12 month-old baby who breastfed exclusively and non-breastfed exclusively. Detail of sample used were 55 respondents who breastfed exclusively and 55 respondents who non-breastfed exclusively. Research instrument was using interview and observation sheet. Independent variable of this research was baby who breastfed exclusively and non-breastfed exclusively. Dependent variable was gross motor development. Frequency of Exclusive breastfeeding with 55 respondents either category good 83,63%, simply 10,90%, and less 5,45%. While with 55 respondents babies who breastfed non-exclusively, the lower proportion is good category 49,09%, simply 36,36%, and less 14,54%. The Result show that good proportion gross motor development more twice upper to babies with Exclusive breastfed than babies with non-exclusive breastfed , that factor supported by result from statistic Mann-Whitney test (P = 0,000). Therefore, this study talk about benefit of Exclusive Breastfed for rising of gross motor development skill on 6-12 month-old baby than non-exclusive breastfed baby.
