Abstract
Usia menarche sering menjadi topik penelitian sejak ditemukannya hubungan antara usia menarche dini dengan kejadian kanker payudara, penyakit kardiovaskuler serta diabetes tipe 2. Penurunan usia menarche dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan usia menarche pada remaja putri yang dilakukan di tiga sekolah dasar dan satu sekolah menengah pertama di Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan case control. Sejumlah 102 remaja putri (51 kasus dan 51 kontrol) dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebagai sampel. Variabel independen yaitu status gizi dan variabel dependennya yaitu usia menarche diukur dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji chi square untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel dependen dengan variabel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status gizi dengan usia menarche pada remaja putri (p = 0,007) dengan nilai odds ratio (OR) 4,206. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah remaja putri dengan status gizi berlebih akan mempunyai risiko 4,2 kali lebih banyak mengalami menarche dini dibandingkan dengan remaja putri dengan status gizi normal, sehingga terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan usia mnearche pada remaja putri.
English Abstract
There are many study of early menarche because it was assosiated with many diseases such as breast cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes type 2. The decreased in the age at menarche can be influenced by many factors, one of them is nutritional status. The amed of this study is to determine the relationship of nutritional status with age at menarche in three elementary school and one junior high schol in Malang City. This study used an observational analytic method with case control approach. 102 young girls (51 cases and 51 control) were selected by purposive sampling as the sample. The independent variable is nutritional status and the dependent variable is the age at menarche which was measured by questionnaires. The data was analyzed using chi square test to determine the relationship between the dependent variable and the indenpendent variable. The result showed that there is significant relationship between nutritional status and age at menarche in young girls (p = 0,007) with odds ratio (OR) 4,206. The conclusion of this study is young girls with overweight will get higher possibility to have early menarche about 4,2 times than the young girls with normal nutritional status, so there is a relationship between nutritional status and age at menarche in young girls.
