Abstract

PT. Rimba Kencana adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang industri manufaktur karoseri. Dalam kegiatannya, PT. Rimba Kencana memproduksi berbagai keperluan untuk kendaraan bus, komoditas utama dalam penjualannya adalah kursi bus. Produk kursi bus membutuhkan banyak bahan baku dalam proses pembuatannya, beberapa diantaranya adalah biji plastik dan pewarna plastik. Hambatan pada proses produksi kursi bus di PT. Rimba Kencana adalah perusahaan beberapa kali mengalami kekurangan stok bahan baku biji plastik dan pewarna plastik. Selain itu, lead time yang dibutuhkan oleh bahan baku untuk sampai di perusahaan seringkali mengalami perubahan. Ketika terjadi kekurangan stok, perusahaan perlu mengeluarkan biaya lebih untuk memesan bahan baku ke supplier terdekat ataupun menunggu sampai bahan baku datang sehingga mengakibatkan proses produksi menjadi terhambat dan perusahaan berisiko mengalami kerugian karena tidak dapat memenuhi pesanan pelanggan tepat waktu. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan persediaan untuk bahan baku biji plastik dan pewarna plastik sangat diperlukan agar proses produksi kursi bus dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan efisien. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan perhitungan jumlah permintaan selama lead time, hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar jumlah permintaan selama proses pemesanan bahan baku. Setelah itu, melakukan penentuan distribusi untuk penggunaan bahan baku, jumlah permintaan selama lead time dan lead time bahan baku. Langkah selanjutnya adalah menghitung quantity order, reoder point dan safety stock dengan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Probabilistic dari kedua bahan baku. Kemudian melakukan pembangkitan bilangan random yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan memvalidasi data hasil pembangkitan bilangan random. Selanjutnya, melakukan simulasi dengan Simulasi Monte Carlo untuk mengetahui nilai total biaya persediaan. Langkah terakhir adalah memvalidasi hasil yang didapatkan dari EOQ probabilistik dengan hasil yang didapatkan dari simulasi monte carlo dengan cara menghitung nilai confident interval, hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil dari perhitungan menggunakan EOQ probabilistik berada di antara nilai selang kepercayaan yang dihitung berdasarkan hasil 5 replikasi simulasi monte carlo. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode EOQ Probabilistik dalam menentukan quantity order untuk bahan baku biji plastik sebesar 7701 Kg dan bahan baku pewarna plastik sebesar 484 Kg serta reorder point untuk biji plastik sebesar 8081 Kg dan untuk pewarna plastik sebesar 104 Kg yang kemudian di simulasikan dengan Simulasi Monte Carlo dapat mengatasi permasalahan perusahaan berupa beberapa kali mengalami stockout. Safety stock yang sebaiknya dimiliki oleh perusahaan guna mengantisipasi terjadinya stockout adalah sebesar 2868 Kg untuk bahan baku biji plastik dan 39 Kg untuk pewarna plastik. Hasil yang didapat dari perhitungan dengan metode EOQ probabilistik berupa rata-rata stok, frekuensi pemesanan, jumlah pembelian, dan total biaya semuanya berada di antara interval selang kepercayaan yang dihitung berdasarkan hasil 5 replikasi simulasi monte carlo.

English Abstract

PT. Rimba Kencana is a company engaged in the field of car body manufacturing industry. In its activities, PT. Rimba Kencana produce a variety of purposes for buses, the major commodity in sales is the seat of the bus. Bus seat product requires a lot of raw materials in the manufacturing process, some of which is the plastic pellets and plastic colorant. Obstacles that often occur in the production process of a bus seat is that the company has experienced shortage of raw materials of plastic pellets and plastic colorant. Moreover, the lead time required by the raw materials to get to the companies often change. When there is a shortage of stock, Companies need to pay more for ordering raw materials to the nearest supplier or wait until the raw materials arrive, resulting in the production process becomes hampered and the company is at risk of loss because it can not fulfill the customers' orders on time. Therefore, inventory planning for plastic pellets and plastic colorant is necessary for the bus seat production process to run smoothly and efficiently. In this study, the number of demand during the lead time was calculated to determine how much the number of demand during the process of ordering the raw materials. After that, the distribution for the use of raw materials, the amount of demand during the lead time and lead time of raw materials were analyzed. The next step, the quantity order, reoder point and safety stock were calculated with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Probabilistic method for both raw materials. Then, the random numbers were generated and these generated random numbers were validated. Furthermore, Monte Carlo simulation was done to determine the value of the total cost of inventory. Finally, the results that obtained from the EOQ probabilistic and from the Monte Carlo simulation was validated by calculating the confident interval value to determine whether the results of the calculation using EOQ probabilistic were between the confidence interval values which was calculated based on the results of 5 replications of Monte Carlo simulation. This research showed that the calculation using EOQ Probabilistic to determine the quantity order for plastic pellets was 7701 kg and for plastic colorant was 484 kg and the result of reorder point for plastic pellets was 8081 kg and for plastic colorants was 104 kg which was then simulated with Monte Carlo Simulation could overcome their problems in the form of several times experiencing stockout. Safety stock that should be owned by the company in order to anticipate the occurrence of stockout is 2868 kg for plastic pellets and 39 kg for plastic colorants. The results obtained from the calculation using EOQ probabilistic method such as stock average, order frequency, total purchase, and total cost were all between the confidence intervals which was calculated based on the results of 5 replications of Monte Carlo Simulation.
