Abstract

Housefly (Musca Domestica) ada sebagai hama utama manusia, unggas dan fasilitas ternak di seluruh dunia. Rumah terbang bertindak sebagai pembawa agen penyebab penyakit seperti bakteri (Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella spp.), Yang menyebar lebih dari seratus penyakit pada manusia dan hewan. Namun, rumah kecil lalat dan afinitas mereka terhadap mayat membuat cukup bermanfaat bagi ahli entomologi forensik. Oleh karena itu, total eliminasi tidak baik, tetapi karena dampak negatif untuk mengendalikannya dengan penolak, alih-alih menghilangkan seluruh koloni dengan insektisida. Mengontrol lalat menggunakan penolak kimia dan non-kimia menjadi metode yang sangat diinginkan. Tetapi sebagian besar penolak kimia memiliki efek samping pada manusia dan hewan peliharaan. Oleh karena itu, menggunakan zat aktif yang diperoleh dari bahan alami sedang diteliti untuk memberantas hama ini. Sebuah penelitian tentang efek Etanol Extract Bay Leaf (Laurus Nobilis) sebagai pengusir terhadap lalat (Musca Domestica) telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian laboratorium eksperimental menggunakan tiga konsentrasi ekstrak daun teluk yang berbeda (20%, 30%, 40%) untuk mengusir lalat untuk jangka waktu 6 jam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan tes anova satu arah. Berdasarkan analisis, ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari penolakan di antara konsentrasi 20%, 30% dan 40% tetapi tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada efek repellency pada setiap kali paparan. Repellency memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan konsentrasi tetapi tidak dengan waktu inkubasi. Hasilnya juga menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan korelasi antara konsentrasi dan repellency sangat kuat. Berdasarkan tes itu, itu menunjukkan bahwa dosis optimal ekstrak daun teluk untuk penolak adalah 40%. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Bay Leaf (Laurus Nobilis) memang memiliki efek repellensi yang memadai terhadap lalat (Musca Domestica).

English Abstract

Housefly (Musca domestica) exists as a major pest of humans, poultry and livestock facilities throughout the world. House flies act as carriers of disease causing agents like bacteria (Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella spp.), which spread more than hundred diseases in humans and animals. However, small house flies and their affinity for corpses make quite useful for Forensic Entomologists. Therefore, total elimination is not good, but because of negative impacts to control them with repellents, instead of eliminating the entire colony with insecticides. Controlling flies using chemical and non-chemical repellents become a highly desirable method. But most of the chemical repellents have side effects on human and pets. Therefore, using the active substances obtained from natural materials are being researched to eradicate these pests. A research on the effect ethanol extract bay leaf (Laurus nobilis) as a repellent towards flies (Musca domestica) has been performed. This research was an experimental laboratory research using three different concentration of bay leaf extract (20%,30%,40%) to repel the flies for a period of 6 hours. The obtained data was analyzed using One Way ANOVA test. Based on the analysis, there were significant differences of repellency among concentration 20%, 30% and 40% but there was no significant difference on repellency effect in each time of exposure. The repellency has significant correlation with concentration but not with the time of incubation. The results also showed that the strength of correlation between concentration and repellency was very strong. Based on those test, it shows that the optimum dose of bay leaf extract for repellent is 40%. From this research, it can be concluded that bay leaf (Laurus nobilis) does have sufficient repellence effect towards flies (Musca domestica).
