Abstract
Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang utama dan merupakan penyebab utama kematian dan kecacatan di negara berkembang. Salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya hipertensi adalah pemakaian kontrasepsi hormonal khususnya suntik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan lama pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik dengan kejadian hipertensi. Desain penelitian deskripsi analitik korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional dilakukan terhadap wanita usia subur. Sampel dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 86 WUS. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank terdapat hubungan bermakna (p=0.000) berkorelasi positif dengan kekuatan yang sedang (r =0,581) antara lama pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik 1 bulanan dengan kejadian hipertensi pada wanita usia subur, dan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna (p=0.011) berkorelasi positif dengan kekuatan lemah (r =0,384) antara lama pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulanan dengan kejadian hipertensi pada wanita usia subur. Dari hasil penelitian diharapakan agar calon akseptor ataupun WUS lebih memperbanyak informasi mengenai alat kontrasepsi dan efek sampingnya terutama efek pada tekanan darah.
English Abstract
In developing countries, hypertension is one of the major health problems that can leads to death and disabilities. One of the trigger of hypertension occurrence is the use of hormonal contraception, specifically injection. This research aims at finding out the relationship between the length of contraceptive injection and hypertension occurrence. This research employed analytic descriptive correlation with cross sectional design applied to 86 women of child-bearing age as the sample purposively selected. The results, based on the data analysis using Spearman Rank correlation test, show that there was a significant relationship (p=0.000), and positive correlation (r=0.581) in medium strenght between length of contraceptive injection use of around 1 month period and hypertension occurrence. In addition, there was a significant relationship (p=0.011) positively correlation with weak magnitude (r=0.384) between the length of contraceptive injection of 3 month use and the hypertension occurrence. It is suggested that potential acceptor or women of child-bearing age be provided with more information about contraception and its side effects especially on blood pressure.
