Sulfiana, Marnia (2015) Pengaruh Tingkat Kelembaban Kompres Cairan Betaine Polyhexanide 0.1% Terhadap Peningkatan Kepadatan Kolagen Luka Bakar Grade II A Pada Tikus Wistar Putih. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Burns grade II is the most burns which happens in the society. An inappropriate treatment causes retardation healing. A humid environment proves that it facilitates the healing burns process by preventing dehydration and improving angiogenesis and collagen syntheses together with increasing damages in dead tissue and fibrin. Betaine Polyhexanide 0,1 % is used to clean and humidify wound and is used as antibiotics and antimicrobials in acute and chronic wounds. The purpose of this study was to find the influence of humidity compress level of Betaine Polyhexanide 0.1% liquid towards the propability improvement of colagen burns grade II A on the white wistar rat. Design of this research was true-experimental laboratory post-test only control group. Burns was induced by hot water using sterofoam sized 2 x 2 centrimetres which were wrapped in gauze and then heated in hot water for 3 minutes. Sample of this research was chosen randomly, was divided into 5 groups, namely NS group as control group and 4 groups as experimental group: burn groups used compress of Betaine Polyhexanide 0.1% liquid by humidity 50%, 60%, 70%, and 80%. This research was conducted for 10 days. Production of histology of blood smear by using coloration of Hematoxcylin eosin. Histology of blood smear was observed by using gridline method. Result of this research shows that there is a significant difference on the control groups and the experimental groups. Conclusion of this research is that burns treatment by using compress of betaine polyhexanide 0.1% liquid with higher humidity,so it will increase the precentage of collagen density.
