Abstract
Di Malang, khususnya di daerah Bandulan, penyakit chikungunya muncul dari tahun ke tahun. Salah satu cara penanggulangan masalah chikungunya yaitu dengan mengadakan penyuluhan kesehatan yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit chikungunya.. Penggunaan media penyuluhan akan memperjelas informasi yang disampaikan sehingga bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan efek penggunaan media penyuluhan dengan menggunakan leaflet dan dengan menggunakan video terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penyakit chikungunya. Penelitian ini bersifat experimental dengan pendekatan “Quasi experimental” dengan rancangan “Pretest-Posttest Design With Comparison Group”. Sampel adalah ibu-ibu PKK RT 3 dan RT 4 di kelurahan Bandulan Kota Malang. Tehnik sampling menggunakan Simple Random Sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok yang diberi leaflet dan kelompok yang diberi video. Berdasarkan uji hipotesa menggunakan uji t tidak berpasangan (Independent sample t test) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% didapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.014 (p<0.05), maka dapat diartikan ada perbedaan efek penggunaan leaflet dengan video terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penyakit chikungunya. Sehingga disarankan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk menggunakan video sebagai media penyuluhan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang penyakit chikungunya.
English Abstract
In Malang, especially in the area Bandulan, chikungunya disease arises from year to year. One way of overcoming the problem of chikungunya is to conduct health education to increase public knowledge about the chikungunya disease. The use of media counselling will clarify information submitted so as to improve knowledge. Main goal of this research was to determine the differences in the effects use of media counselling by using leaflets and using video to increase knowledge about the chikungunya disease. This research tend to be experimental with "Quasi experimental" with "Pretest-Posttest Design With Comparison Group". Samples were PKK RT 3 and RT 4 in Bandulan, Malang. The sampling methode was Simple random sampling. Samples were splinted into two treatment groups: the group were given leaflets and the group given video. Based on hypothesis check using Independence sample t test with 95% credibility obtained significant result about 0.0014 (p<0.5), then we conclude that there are differences in the effects of the use of leaflets and use of video to increase knowledge about chikungunya disease. That is why we highly recommended the Government Health Department to use video as media in counseling in increase knowledge about chikungunya disease.
