Abstract

Bahan Cetak Alginat Berfungsi Dalam Membuat Reproduksi Gigi Dan Jaringan Sekitar Pada Proses Pembuatan Gigi Tiruan. Mengatur Setting Time Alginat Bertujuan Untuk Memfasilitasi Cetakan Untuk Pasien Dengan Reflek Muntah Yang Tinggi Dan Mendapatkan Variasi Perawatan Sesuai Dengan Kondisi Pasien. Alginat Disukai Karena Manipulasinya Mudah Akan Tetapi Kekurangan Alginat Yaitu Harganya Relatif Mahal Dan Didapatkan Dengan Cara Impor. Salah Satu Cara Menghemat Pemakaian Alginat Adalah Menambahkan Dengan Pati Ubi Kayu. Pati Ubi Kayu Mempunyai Kandungan Amilosa Dan Amilopektin Yang Dapat Menyerap Air Dan Dapat Ditambahkan Ke Dalam Bahan Cetak Alginat. Tujuan Penelitian Ini Adalah Mengetahui Pengaruh Penambahan Pati Ubi Kayu (Manihot Utilisima) Dalam Bahan Cetak Alginat Terhadap Setting Time. Penelitian Ini Menggunakan True Experimental Design Yaitu Posttest Control Group Design. Konsentrasi Pati Ubi Kayu Yang Digunakan Dalam Penelitian Ini Adalah 25%, 50%, 75% Dan Alginat 100% Sebagai Pembanding. Uji One-Way Anova Menunjukkan Nilai Signfikansinya 0,000 (P<0,05), Terdapat Perbedaan Yang Signifikan Antara Kelompok Perlakuan Yaitu Antara Kelompok Kontrol Dan Campuran Bahan Cetak Alginat Dengan Pati Ubi Kayu Terhadap Setting Time. Kesimpulan Pada Penelitian Ini Yaitu Pati Ubi Kayu (Manihot Utilisima) Mempunyai Pengaruh Pada Bahan Alginat.

English Abstract

Dental Impression Material Alginate Used To Make Reproduction Of Teeth And Oral Tissues In The Making Of Dentures. Managing Alginate Setting Time Is Aimed To Facilitate Impression For Patient With Dysphagia And Obtaining Treatment Variation In Acordance With Patient Condition. Alginate Is Favorable Amongs Dentist Because Its Manipulation Is Easy And Simple, But It Also Has Disadvantages Such A The Price Of Alginate Is Relatively Expensive, And Purchased Through Import Procedure. One Way To Save Alginat Usage Is By Adding Cassava Starch. Cassava Starch Contains Amilose And Amilopectin That Can Absorb Water And It Can Be Added Into Impression Material. The Purpose Of This Research Is To Observe The Effect Of Adding Cassava Starch (Manihot Utilisima) Into Alginate Impression Material Towards Setting Time. This Research Used True Experimental Design That Involved Posttest Control Group Design. Cassava Starch Concentration Used In This Research Was 25%, 50%, 75% And Alginate By 100% As A Comparison. One-Way Anova Test Shows A Signification Value By 0,000 (P<0,05), Indicating That There Was A Significant Difference Between Control Group And The Alginate Impression Material With Cassava Starch Mixture Group Towards Setting Time. The Conclusion Of This Research Is Cassava Starch (Manihot Utilisima) Has A Significant Setting Time Effect Towards Setting Time Of Alginate Impression Material.
