Abstract
Perubahan yang terjadi pada remaja dalam memenuhi tugas perkembangan barunya serta adanya perubahan pada lingkungan sosiallnya dapat menimbulkan kondisi stress dan dapat mengakibatkan perilaku yang negatif bila remaja tidak mampu beradaptasi dengan melakukan strategi koping stress yang adaptif. Strategi koping stress yang dipih oleh remaja dalam menghadapi masalahnya dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah dukungan keluarga yang disampaikan melalui pola komunikasi keluarga. Pola komunikasi keluarga sangat diperlukan oleh remaja sebagai sumber dukungan dalam melakukan strategi koping stress. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola komunikasi keluarga dan strategi koping stress pada remaja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling, dimana sampel diambil secara acak dari populasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 61.7% responden melakukan pola komunikasi keluarga fungsional dan sebanyak 62.9% responden mampu melakukan strategi koping stress adaptif. Uji statistik menunjukan adannya hubungan signifikansi dengan p value (0.000) < α (0.05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungna antara pola komunikasi keluarga terhadap strategi koping stress remaja. Beradasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar saat melakukan intervensi terhadap masalah perkembangan remaja sebaiknya tidak hanya melakukan pengkajian terhadap masalah psikologis remaja tetapi juga mengkaji pola komunikasi yang dilakukan dalam keluarga.
English Abstract
Changes that occur in adolescents in meeting new development tasks as well as the changes in the social environment can cause stress conditions and lead to negative behaviors when adolescents are not able to adapt to perform adaptive stress coping strategies. Coping Ssress strategies that choosen by adolescents to face of the problem can be influenced by several factors, one of them is a family support which is delivered through families communication patterns. Family communication patterns needed by adolescents as a source of support in conducting coping stress strategies. This purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between family communication patterns and coping stress strategies in adolescents. This research used cross sectional approach method. The sampling method was done by stratified random sampling, where samples were taken random from the population. The instrument that use of data collection in this research are questionnaire sheets. The results of this study showed that 61.7% of respondents perform functional family communication patterns and 62.9% of respondents were able to do adaptive coping stress strategies. The test of analyzed show that there is significant relation with p value (0.000) <α (0.05). The conclusion of this research is there is relation between family communication patterns with coping stress strategies on adolescents. According the results of this study, there is suggested that the current intervention for adolescent development issues should not only carry out an assessment of adolescent psychological problems but also examines patterns of communications made in the family.
