Abstract

Ekstraksi gigi merupakan pencabutan gigi dari soket tulang alveolar dan meninggalkan luka terbuka. Komplikasi pasca ekstraksi yaitu dry socket dan infeksi. Ketika fase inflamasi, terjadi aktivasi makrofag menyebabkan peningkatan pelepasan growth factor (FGF-2, PDGF, TGF-β) oleh sel makrofag. Selanjutnya sel endotel menjadi aktif disebabkan oleh terekspos oleh DELFI serta pelepasan growth factor. Sel endotel merupakan primary target dari DELFI. DELFI menginduksi antar sel endotel yang berdekatan untuk melepaskan FGF-2 secara parakrin serta meningkatkan angiogenesis sehingga mempercepat penyembuhan luka karena jaringan yang baru mendapatkan suplai nutrisi yang cukup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek Dental Electromagnetic Field Appliance (DELFI) terhadap jumlah pembuluh darah pada penyembuhan luka soket terbuka pasca ekstraksi insisivus tikus Rattus norvegicus. Penelitian menggunakan model posttest only control design menggunakan 25 ekor yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kontol negatif tidak diberikan perlakuan, kontrol positif hanya dijahit, perlakuan 1, 2 dan 3 diterapi DELFI frekuensi 15Hz, 45Hz dan 75Hz. Insisivus kiri bawah dicabut lalu diberikan perlakuan sesuai kelompok selama 20 menit selama 10 hari. Hari ke-10 tikus dibedah. Pembuluh darah dihitung pada preparat dengan perwarnaan HE, diamati dibawah mikroskop dengan pembesaran 400x dalam lima lapang pandang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan jumlah pembuluh darah yang bermakna antar kelompok (p<0,05). Terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara frekuensi DELFI dan pembuluh darah, semakin kecil frekuensi DELFI semakin banyak jumlah pembuluh darah (Pearson,R=(-0,635);p<0,05). Kesimpulan adalah perlakuan DELFI 15Hz meningkatkan jumlah pembuluh darah paling nyata.

English Abstract

Following extraction of a tooth, wound will forms within the the tooth socket and the surrounding soft tissue. In some case the healing of the socket may be delayed due to a dry socket and infection. When the inflammatory phase, macrophage activation caused by release of growth factor (FGF-2, PDGF, TGF-β). Furthermore, endothelial cells become activated due to the exposed by DELFI and growth factors that are the primary targets of DELFI. DELFI induces between adjacent endothelial cells to release FGF-2 (paracrine) and increase angiogenesis thereby accelerating wound healing due to the new tissue get a sufficient supply of nutrients. The aim of this study was to prove the effect of DELFI can increase the number blood vessels on wound healing after extraction. This experimental study used A Post Test Only Controlled Group Design using 25 randomized male rat divided into five groups which the negative control group sockets remained untouched, and the positive control group sockets were sutured. The first, second, and third test groups radiated with 15 Hz, 45 Hz, and 75 Hz frequency of DELFI after the incisors teeth were extracted. On the 10th day, the rats sacrificed, jaws excised, and tissue sections prepared and stained with HE stain. The number blood vessels that count under light microscope on 400x magnifiying. The results showed significant degree of progress on the number blood vessels parameter in the test groups compared to the control group (p<0,05). There is a strong correlation between the frequency DELFI and blood vessels (Pearson, R=(-0.635);p<0,05). It is then concluded that a group test radiated with 15 Hz frequency of DELFI is significantly increase the number blood vessels.
