Abstract
Kanker serviks adalah tumor ganas yang ditemukan pada organ sistem reproduksi wanita yaitu serviks dan menempati peringkat teratas penyebab kematian pada perempuan di dunia. Hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya tingkat pemahaman masyarakat tentang kanker serviks, sehingga keikutsertaan masyarakat untuk screening kanker serviks juga rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pemahaman wanita usia subur tentang faktor resiko kanker serviks dengan keikutsertaan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan dini di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kendal Kerep Kota Malang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional desain cross sectional study. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dan Quota Sampling, serta didapatkan 75 responden. Uji yang digunakan adalah uji hipotesis Chi-Square. Cara pengambilan data dengan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,00 yaitu p<0,05 Tolak H0, sehingga dapat disimpulkan semakin tinggi tingkat pemahaman wanita usia subur tentang faktor resiko kanker serviks, semakin meningkatkan keikutsertaan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan dini. Diharapkan penelitian selanjutnya dilakukan terkait tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hubungan tingkat pemahaman tentang faktor resiko kanker serviks dengan keikutsertaan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan dini.
English Abstract
Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor found in cervix, an organ in female reproductive system. The cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths for women in the world. This is caused by lack of public knowledge of cervical cancer which lead to the low number of participation for cervical cancer screening. The objective of the research was to find the correlation between knowledge level regarding risk factors for cervical cancer of women of childbearing age and their participation in screening in Kendal Kerep Community Health Center, Malang. The observational research used cross sectional study design. The sample, 75 respondents, was collected using accidental sampling and Quota Sampling methods. The data were collected using structured interview and analyzed using Chi-square test. The result of the Chi square test was p<0.05 at 0.00 significance level which indicates that Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the knowledge level of the women of childbearing age regarding the risk factors of cervical cancer, the higher their participation for cervical cancer screening. It is suggested that the future research should investigate the factors affecting the correlation between the knowledge level regarding risk factors of cervical cancer and the participation for cervical cancer screening.
