Juliana, Lauran (2015) Pengaruh Pemberian Susu Kedelai (Glycine max) Terhadap Peningkatan Aktivitas Enzim Superoxide Dismutase (Sod) pada Tikus (Rattus norvegicus strain Wistar) yang Diberi Diet Tinggi Lemak. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Menurut World Health Organitation (WHO) pada tahun 2008, peningkatan kolesterol total sebagai faktor resiko penyakit diperkirakan terus meningkat.
English Abstract
Adverse effects of hypercholesterolemia is considered an important factor as a cause of atherosclerosis. According to the World Health Organitation (WHO) in 2008, an increase in total cholesterol as a risk factor for the disease is expected to increase. Hypercholesterolemia by high-fat diet led to increased production of free radicals (superoxide anion) which can damage the tissue. Milk Soy (Glycine max) with isoflavone content can increase the activity of the enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the body as an antioxidant by neutralizing endogenous superoxide radicals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of soy milk on SOD enzyme activity in rats(Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain) were given a high-fat diet. This study is a pure experiment using Randomized Post Test Only Control Group Design in 5 groups of rats (n = 4 ) were given a normal diet (K), high-fat diet (K +), and soy milk-dose treatment group of 0.81, 1.62, and 3.24 g / rat / day in 3 ml of distilled water (P1, P2, P3 ). SOD enzyme activity data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA showed no significant differences between groups. Meanwhile, the results of the descriptive analysis showed increased activity of SOD in the treatment group P3, so that the conclusions of this study is the soy milk to give effect to an increase in the activity of SOD, but not significant.
