Abstract
Di bidang kedokteran gigi, ulserasi merupakan lesi umum yang sering dijumpai. Ulserasi yang paling sering ditemukan adalah SAR (Stomatitis Aphtosa Recurrent) yang bersifat kambuhan. Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% yang biasanya digunakan untuk obat ulser dapat menyebabkan terjadinya oral candidiasis. Penggunaan gel lendir bekicot (Achatina fulica) dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan ulser karena lendir bekicot (Achatina fulica) mengandung heparan sulfat dan kation divales yang berperan dalam meningkatkan rekrutment limfosit. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental menggunakan rancangan penelitian Post Test Only Randomized Control Group Design untuk mengetahui pengaruh gel lendir bekicot (Achatina fulica) terhadap peningkatan jumlah limfosit pada proses penyembuhan ulser mukosa tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi panas. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan tehnik Simple Random Sampling kemudian dibagi dalam 3 kelompok, yaitu: kelompok kontrol negatif (K-), kelompok kontrol positif (K+), dan kelompok perlakuan (P). Variabel yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah jumlah limfosit pada jaringan ulser mukosa tikus diukur dari sediaan HPA dengan pengecatan HE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan jumlah limfosit pada kelompok kontrol positif dan kelompok perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan one way ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa perubahan jumlah limfosit pada setiap perlakuan berbeda secara bermakna (p<0,05). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu gel lendir bekicot (Achatina fulica) berpengaruh terhadap jumlah limfosit pada proses penyembuhan ulser mukosa tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi panas.
English Abstract
In Dentistry, ulcer is a common lesion frequently encountered. The most frequently one is RAS (Recurrent Aphtous Stomatitis) that highly recurring. Triamcinolone acetonide 0,1% which commonly used for this kind of ulcer can cause oral candidiasis. The usage of snail mucus gel (Achatina fulica) can be an alternate for ulcer medication because there is heparan sulfat and kation divales which serves to improve recrutment of lymphocytes. The type of this study was experimental research and using Post Test Only Randomized Control Group Design in order to understanding the effect of snail mucus gel (Achatina fulica) to the number of lymphocytes in healing process of mouse’s mucosal (Rattus novergicus) with thermal induction. The samples were selected using Simple Random Sampling technique and grouped in to 3 groups, afterwards: negative control group (K-), positive control group (K+), treated group (P). Variable studied was the number of lymphocytes in mouse’s ulceration tissues which was counted from HPA preparation and HE coloration. The results showed that a decline in the number of lymphocytes in the positive control group and the treatment group. Analyzing one way ANOVA shows that the change in the number of lymphocytes in each treatment was significantly different ( p < 0.05 ). Conclusion of this study was that snail mucus gel (Achatina fulica) is effective to increasing the number of lymphocytes in healing process of mouse’s mucosal (Rattus novergicus) with thermal induction.
