Abstract
Nyeri merupakan perasaan sensorik dan emosional yang tidak menyenangkan. Nyeri persalinan disebabkan kontraksi miometrium, regangan segmen bawah rahim dan serviks, serta iskemia otot rahim sebagai proses fisiologis yang menimbulkan rasa takut dan khawatir yang dapat berdampak pada ibu dan janin. Aromaterapi adalah salah satu metode nonfarmakologis untuk menangani nyeri melalui produksi enkefalin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi lavender secara inhalasi terhadap penurunan intesitas nyeri persalinan fisiologis pada primipara inpartu kala I fase aktif. Desain penelitian ini adalah experimental dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttes without control. Jumlah sampel 20 orang yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Variabel bebas adalah pemberian aromaterapi dan variabel terikatnya adalah nyeri persalinan. Hasil uji normalitas data menggunakan Kolmogorov Smirnov diperoleh hasil distribusi data normal (p value>0.05). Uji statistik menggunakan paired t-test diperoleh hasil nilaii p value = 0.000 (p value<0.05) artinya pemberian aromaterapi lavender terbukti signifikan dapat menurunkan intensitas nyeri persalinan fisiologis kala satu fase aktif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi lavender secara inhalasi terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri persalinan fisiologis pada primipara inpartu kala satu fase aktif. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada bidan atau tenaga kesehatan dapat menggunakan aromaterapi lavender secara inhalasi sebagai alternatif penanganan nyeri persalinan.
English Abstract
Labor pain is an unpleasant sensation due to sensory nerve stimulation. Labor pain caused by contractions of the myometrium, strain the lower uterine segment and cervix, as well as the uterine muscle ischemia physiological processes that cause fear and anxiety that can affect the mother and fetus. Aromatherapy is one of the non pharmalogical methods to treat pain through enkephalin production. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of inhaled lavender aromatherapy to decrease the intensity of labor pain in primiparous inpartu physiologically active phase of the first stage. The research design used was experimental with design one group pretest posttes without control. The samples were 20 respondents who are detemined by purposive sampling method. The Independent variabel was lavender aromatherapy and the dependent variable was labor pain. Based on the result of normality test using Kolmogorov Smirnov obtained normally distributed (p value > 0.05). This research used the Paired T-test statistical test obtained p value= 0.000 (p value < 0.005) that means aromatherapy lavender statically can reduce labor pain in the first stage of labor specially in the active phase. It can be concluded that there is the effect of inhalation lavender aromatherapy to decrease the intensity of labor pain in primiparous inpartu physiological stage of the active phase. Therefore, it is suggested to midwife or other health professionals can use lavender aromatherapy as an alternative treatment of labor pain.
