Abstract

Air merupakan kebutuhan pokok yang sangat penting bagi keberlangsungan hidup di peternakan ayam broiler. Ketersediaan air minum yang mencukupi pada peternakan ayam broiler sangat diperlukan. Hal itu untuk menjaga kualitas dan produktifitas dari ayam broiler yang berada di peternakan tersebut. Keterlambatan pemberian air minum pada peternakan ayam broiler akan menyebabkan ayam stress sehingga menyebabkan kualitas dan produksi dari ayam broiler menurun. Oleh karena itu, penulis merancang dan membuat suatu prototype pengisi air minum otomatis pada peternakan ayam broiler berbasis mikrokontroler AT-Mega16. Prototype ini mampu mendeteksi kekosongan air pada tempat minum ayam menggunakan sensor, kemudian mengisinya secara otomatis sampai batas yang sudah ditentukan. Jika terjadi kebocoran pipa pengisian yang berada sebelum pompa air atau terjadi kekosongan sumber air, maka prototype ini akan mendeteksinya dengan mematikan pompa air dan perangkatnya serta menghidupkan buzzer dan led sebagai penanda bahwa telah terjadi kekosongan sumber air ataupun kebocoran pipa pengisian pada pemilik peternakan.

English Abstract

Water is a basic necessity that is very important for the survival of broiler chickens. The availability of sufficient drinking water in broiler farms is necessary. This is to maintain the quality and productivity of broiler chickens that are in the farm. Delay in the provision of drinking water to broiler farms will cause stress chickens, causing the quality and production of broiler chickens decreased. So that is why, the researcher designs and makes a prototype of automatic drinking water filler on broiler chicken livestock based on AT-Mega16 microcontroller. This prototype is able to detect the emptiness of water on the chicken’s drinking place using censor, then filling it automatically until the determined edge. If the leak happened, the pipe of filler in which is before the water pump or emptiness of water resource happened, so this prototype will detect by switch off the water pump and the device as well as switch on the buzzer and led as the remark that have been the emptiness of water resource or leaking pipe of filler on the livestock owner.
