Abstract

Gingivektomi Merupakan Prosedur Bedah Untuk Membuang Jaringan Gingiva Yang Mengalami Hiperplasia. Prosedur Bedah Mengakibatkan Luka Pasca Gingivektomi. Pada Penyembuhan Luka Terjadi Proses Inflamasi Akut. Sel Neutrofil Berfungsi Memfagosit Bakteri, Mikroorganisme, Benda Asing Selama Proses Inflamasi Akut Dan Meningkat 6-24 Jam Pertama, Setelah Terjadi Luka. Periodontal Dressing Diaplikasikan Pasca Gingivektomi Sebagai Penutup Luka. Namun, Dapat Menimbulkan Reaksi Alergi Dan Tidak Nyaman. Getah Batang Pisang Bersifat Antibakteri, Antiinflamasi, Dan Dapat Mempercepat Proses Penyembuhan. Getah Batang Pisang Mengandung Saponin Dan Flavonoid Yang Bekerja Dengan Cara Menghambat Enzim Siklooksigenase Dan Lipooksigenase Pada Reaksi Inflamasi Sehingga Migrasi Sel Radang Akan Menurun Pada Daerah Radang. Tujuan Dari Penelitian Ini Adalah Untuk Mengetahui Efek Pemberian Gel Getah Batang Pisang Ambon (Musa Paradisiaca Var. Sapientum) Terhadap Jumlah Sel Neutrofil Pasca Gingivektomi Rattus Norvegicus. Penelitian Ini Dilakukan Pada Tikus Jantan Galur Wistar (Rattus Norvegicus) Yang Dibagi Menjadi 8 Kelompok P0 (Kontrol Negatif), P1 (Gel 50%), P2 (Gel 75%), P3 (Gel 100%) Dengan 2 Time Series. Pengolesan Gel Dilakukan Setiap Hari Dan Dilakukan Pembedahan Pada Hari Ke-1 Dan Ke-3. Jumlah Sel Neutrofil Pada P0 Hari Ke-1 Paling Banyak Dibanding Kelompok P1, P2, P3. Jumlah Sel Neutrofil Mengalami Penurunan Jumlah Secara Signifikan. Begitu Pula Pada Hari Ke-3, Jumlah Sel Neutrofil Pada Kelompok Kontrol Lebih Sedikit Daripada Hari Ke-1 Dan Makin Menurun Jumlahnya Seiring Dengan Meningkatnya Dosis Gel Getah Batang Pisang. Kesimpulan Dari Penelitian Ini Adalah Pemberian Gel Getah Batang Pisang Ambon (Musa Paradisiaca Var. Sapientum) Memberikan Efek Penurunan Jumlah Sel Neutrofil Selama Proses Inflamasi Akut Pada Luka Pasca Gingivektomi Rattus Norvegicus.

English Abstract

Gingivectomy Is A Surgical Procedure To Dispose Of The Enlargement Gingival Tissues. The Wound Post-Gingivectomy Occur Due To Surgical Procedure. Acute Inflammatory Process Occurred During Wound Healing, Which Is Involve The Neutrophil Cells. The Functions Is To Fagocyt Bacteria, Microorganism, And Foreign Objects. Neutrophils Cells Are Increased In Number In The First 6-24 Hours, After Injury. Periodontal Dressing Were Applied After Gingivectomy To Cover The Wound. However, It Can Cause Allergic Reactions And Uncomfortable. Banana Sap Gel Is An Antibacterial, Anti-Inflammatory, And Can Accelerate The Healing Process, Contained Saponins And Flavonoids That Work By Inhibiting The Enzyme Cyclooxygenase And Lipooksigenase The Inflammatory Reaction So That The Migration Of Inflammatory Cells Can Decrease. The Purpose Of This Study Is To Determine The Effect Of Ambon Banana (Musa Paradisiaca Var. Sapientum) Sap Gel To The Number Of Neutrophil Cells In Rattus Norvegicus Post-Gingivectomy. This Research Was Carried Out On Male Wistar Rats (Rattus Norvegicus) That Were Divided Into 8 Groups P0 (Negative Control), P1 (Gel 50%), P2 (Gel 75%), P3 (Gel 100%) With 2 Time Series. Application Of The Gel Is Done Every Day And The Surgery Was Performed On Day-1 And Day-3. Neutrophil Cells Counts In The P0 To The Most Widely On Day-1 Than In P1, P2, P3. Neutrophil Cells Count Decreased Significantly. Similarly, On Day-3, The Number Of Neutrophil Cells In The Control Group Were Less Than Day-1 And Further Decreasing The Number Of Neutrophil Cells While Increasing The Dose Of Banana Gel. The Conclusion Is Gel Extract Of Ambon Banana (Musa Paradisiaca Var. Sapientum) Can Decrease The Number Of Neutrophil Cells Post-Gingivectomy In Rattus Norvegicus.
