Abstract
Pada masa pertumbuhan dari anak-anak sampai dewasa dapat menimbulkan perubahan pada lebar lengkung gigi, panjang lengkung gigi dan tinggi palatum. Maloklusi kelas I Angle disertai protrusi dan maloklusi kelas II Angle divisi 1 merupakan suatu kelainan oklusi yang dapat terjadi dalam masa pertumbuhan tersebut, dari kedua maloklusi terdapat persamaan yaitu terdapat protrusi insisivus rahang atas dengan meningkatnya overjet, namun perbedaannya terletak pada relasi molar pertama permanen. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan lebar, panjang lengkung gigi dan tinggi palatum antara maloklusi kelas I Angle yang disertai protrusi dengan maloklusi kelas II Angle divisi 1. Penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan antropometri dilakukan pada 60 model studi yaitu sampel berjenis kelamin perempuan di atas 15 tahun dengan 30 model studi maloklusi kelas I Angle disertai protrusi dan 30 model studi maloklusi kelas II Angle divisi 1. Uji t tidak berpasangan digunakan untuk menguji hasil pengukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (P > 0.05) pada lebar lengkung gigi antara maloklusi kelas I Angle disertai protrusi dengan maloklusi kelas II Angle divisi 1. Namun terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (P <0.05) pada panjang lengkung gigi dan tinggi palatum antara maloklusi kelas I Angle disertai protrusi dengan maloklusi kelas II Angle divisi 1.
English Abstract
During the growth of children to adulthood can cause the alteration of dental arch width, arch length, and palatal height. Angle class I malocclusion with protrusion and Angle class II division 1 malocclusion are an anomaly that can occur during the growth, both of them have a similarity that is a protrusion of the maxillary incisors with increased overjet, but the difference is relationship of the first molar permanent. This study has a purpose to compare dental arch width, arch length, and palatal height between Angle class I malocclusion with protrusion and Angle class II division 1 malocclusion. Observational study with anthropometric approachment has been performed on 60 model studies of girls over 15 years old, with the details 30 model studies of Angle class I malocclusion with protrusion and 30 model studies of Angle class II division 1 malocclusion. Independent samples t-test was used to test the measurement result. The results showed there was no significant difference (P > 0.05) at the dental arch width between Angle class I malocclusion with protrusion and Angle class II division 1 malocclusion. However, there was significant differences (P < 0.05) at the arch length and palatal height between Angle class I malocclusion with protrusion and Angle class II division 1 malocclusion.
