Abstract
Penyebab timbulnya masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada masyarakat salah satunya adalah faktor perilaku mengabaikan kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Hal tersebut dilandasi oleh kurangnya pengetahuan akan pentingnya pemeliharaan gigi dan mulut sehingga anak masih tergantung pada orang dewasa dalam hal menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan gigi. Depkes RI melaporkan bahwa penduduk Indonesia yang mengalami karies gigi sebanyak 72,1%. Sebanyak 46,5% di antaranya karies gigi aktif yang belum dirawat. Indeks PUFA/pufa adalah indeks yang digunakan untuk menilai kondisi mulut akibat karies yang tidak terawat. Indeks PUFA dicatat dari skor keterlibatan pulpa, ulserasi mukosa mulut karena karies, fistula dan abses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan pengetahuan dan perilaku kesehatan gigi mulut terhadap indeks PUFA/pufa anak usia10-11 tahun di SDN Tunjungsekar 03 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan metode cross sectional. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling yang terdiri dari 116 anak SD kelas IV dan V. Uji statistic pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode spearman correlation, dari hasil analisa hubungan pengetahuan dengan indeks PUFA didapatkan p-value 0,000 dengan koofisien korelasi sebesar 0,357. Nilai p-value lebih kecil dari α 0,05 maka h0 ditolak, yang berarti ada korelasi antara pengetahuan dengan nilai indeks PUFA. Dari hasil analisa hubungan perilaku dengan indeks PUFA didapatkan p-value 0,000 dengan koofisien korelasi sebesar 0,642. Nilai p-value lebih kecil dari α 0,05 maka h0 ditolak, yang berarti ada hubungan antara perilaku dengan nilai indeks PUFA dengan tingkat korelasi yang kuat. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan perilaku kesehatan gigi mulut anak usia 10-11 tahun SDN Tunjungsekar 03 Malang terhadap nilai indeks PUFA/pufa.
English Abstract
One of the causes of dental and mouth public health problem is ignoring dental and mouth health care behavior. That happens because the lack knowledge of dental and mouth health care, children still depend on the adult for the dental and mouth health care. Depkes RI reported that 72,1% people in Indonesia have a caries problem, and 46.5% caries remains untreated. The PUFA/pufa is an index used to assess the presence of oral conditions resulting from untreated caries. PUFA scores the presence of either a visible pulp, ulceration of the oral mucosa due to root fragments, a fistula or an abscess. This research aim to learn the presence of correlation between dental and mouth health care knowledge and behavior and the PUFA/pufa index score of SDN Tunjungsekar 03 students (grade 4th and 5th) in Malang. The research method is analytic survey with cross sectional design. Sample is chosen by total sampling of 116 students. Data is analyzed using Spearman Correlation method. The result of p-value between knowledge and PUFA/pufa is 0,000 and the correlation coefficient as much as 0,357. It means there is correlation between dental and mouth health care knowledge and the PUFA/pufa index score. The result of p-value between behavior and PUFA/pufa is 0,000 and the correlation coefficient as much as 0,642. It means there is a correlation between dental and mouth health care behavior and the of PUFA/pufa index score. The conclusion of this research is, there is a correlation between oral health care knowledge and behavior with PUFA/pufa index score of 10-11 years old student at Tunjungsekar 03 Malang elementary school.
