Abstract
Pengobatan sendiri (swamedikasi) merupakan salah satu upaya menjaga kesehatan. Di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 60 persen masyarakat melakukan swamedikasi sebagai tindakan pertama bila sakit . Rendahnya penggunaan obat generik disebabkan oleh rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang obat generik itu sendiri. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat interpretasi obat generik pada klien swamedikasi di Apotek Kecamatan Blimbing Kota Malang . Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Mei 2014 dengan menggunakan metode penelitian lapangan ( field research ). Sebanyak 7 apotek ditunjuk sebagai tempat penelitian. Pada setiap apotek diambil 15 klien swamedikasi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Jadi total responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 105 responden . Pemilihan apotek dilakuan dengan teknik stratified random sampling pada suatu tempat untuk membagi populasi menjadi sub populasi yang homogen. Di setiap sub populasi, apotek ditentukan lagi dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini diolah menggunakan analisa deskriptif dan didapatkan presentase sebesar 83,90 persen. Berdasarkan tabel interpretasi skor skala Guttman , hasil tersebut masuk kedalam rentang 81-100 persen yang berarti sangat tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini gambaran pemahaman klien swamedikasi terhadap obat generik di apotek Kecamatan Blimbing Kota Malang sangat baik.
English Abstract
Self medication is part of the effort in maintaining a healthy state. In Indonesia, the data showed that approximately 60 percent of people do self medication as the first treatment when they get sick. Unfortunately there is a low usage of generic drugs due to the lack of public knowledge about the generic drug. This research aims to determine an overview of client’s understanding about generic drugs in self medication at pharmacies in Blimbing District of Malang . Data retrieval conducted in March until May 2014 by using the field research methods. A total of 7 pharmacies was appointed as a palce research . At every pharmacies has taken 15 self medication clients using purposive sampling technique based of inclusion criteria . So the total respondents in this study were 105 respondents . The selection of pharmacies conducted by stratified random sampling technique on a place to divide the population into homogeneous sub-populations. In every sub-population, pharmacies determined by simple random sampling techniques. The results of this study were processed using descriptive analysis and obtained a percentage of 83.90 percent. Based on the interpretation table Guttman scale scores, The results go in the range of 81-100 percent, which means a very high. The conclusion of this research, an overview of client’s understanding about generic drugs in self medication at pharmacies in Blimbing District of Malang is very good.
