Abstract
Diare merupakan penyakit menular yang menduduki urutan kedua penyebab kematian pada anak di dunia. Salah satu pencegahan diare adalah penerapan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), terutama indikator PHBS yang berkaitan langsung dengan penularan penyakit diare, yaitu memberi ASI eksklusif, menimbang balita setiap bulan, menggunakan air bersih, mencuci tangan dengan sabun, dan menggunakan jamban. Terbentuknya perilaku kesehatan itu sendiri dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap sebagai faktor predisposisi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu pada PHBS dengan kejadian diare akut pada balita. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Descriptive Analitic Observasional dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling. Variabel Independen yang diteliti adalah tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu pada PHBS. Sedangkan variabel dependen yang diteliti adalah kejadian diare. Analisis Statistik menggunakan Uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan p<0,05. Dari uji Chi-Square untuk hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang PHBS dengan kejadian diare akut balita didapatkan hasil p-value 0,000 dan besar korelasi 0,478, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang cukup signifikan anatara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang PHBS dengan kejadian diare akut balita. Sedangkan uji Chi-square pada variabel sikap ibu pada PHBS dengan kejadian diare akut balita, menunjukkan hasil p-value 0,190 (p-value>0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara sikap ibu pada PHBS dengan kejadian diare akut balita.
English Abstract
Diarrhea is the second largest cause of children death in the world. One of the prevention of diarrhea is the application of Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), especially PHBS indicators that directly related to diarrheal disease transmission, such as giving exclusive breastfeeding, weighing toddler, using clean water, washing hands, and using the toilet. The formation of health behavior itself is influenced by several factors, one of which the level of knowledge and attitude as a predisposing factor. The purpose of this research is to know the relation between the level of knowledge and attitude of mother on PHBS with acute diarrhea incidence in toddlers. The research design used was Descriptive Observational Analitic with Cross Sectional approach. The sample was selected by using Purposive sampling. The Independent variable is the level of knowledge and attitude of mother on PHBS. While the dependent variable is the incidence of acute diarrhea incidence in toddlers. For the statistical analysis, the Chi-Square test is used to identify the relationship between the mothers level of knowledge about PHBS with the incidence of acute diarrhea toddler, obtained results of p-value is 0.000 and correlation is 0,478, this indicate that there is a significant correlation. While the Chi-square test on maternal attitudes toward PHBS variable with the incidence of acute toddlers diarrhea, shows the results of the p-value 0.190 (p-value > 0.05) then it can be concluded that there is no relationship between maternal attitudes toward PHBS with acute diarrhea incidence in toddlers.
