Abstract
Dukungan keluarga merupakan suatu bentuk sikap, tindakan, dan penerimaan keluarga terhadap anggotanya. Bentuk intervensi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan melibatkan unit terkecil dari suatu sistem masyarakat yaitu keluarga. Keluarga diharapkan dapat menjadi suatu sistem yang dapat memberikan dukungan dalam terbentuknya perawatan kesehatan yang berkelanjutann dalam membantu penderita kusta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan terjadinya reaksi kusta pada penderita kusta dengan menggunakan desain case control dengan jumlah sampel total 74 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan nilai chi-square hitung sebesar 21,051 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang berarti menunjukan hubungan/asosiasi antara reaksi kusta dengan dukungan keluarga dengan niilai odds ratio (OR) bernilai 13,554 dengan besar korelasi (r) yaitu 0,533 yang berarti menunjukkan hubungan yang sedang antara dukungan keluarga dan terjadinya reaksi kusta. Arah korelasi bernilai positif yang berarti semakin baik dukungan keluarga semakin tidak terjadi reaksi kusta pada penderita kusta. Sehingga disarankan bagi institusi untuk mengadakan monitoring berkala terhadap penderita kusta dan peran keluarga dalam merawat penderita kusta. Keterlibatan keluarga dalam kegiatan promosi kesehatan tentang penyakit kusta sangat diperlukan untuk menambah informasi keluarga terkait dengan perawatan penderita kusta di rumah.
English Abstract
Family support is a form of attitudes, actions , and acceptance of the family members. Intervention that can be done to involve the smallest unit of a system of society is the family . Family is expected to be a system that can provide support in the establishment of a sustainable health care in helping leprosy patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with leprosy reactions in leprosy patients using a case-control design with a total sample of 74 people . Data collection instrument in this study was a questionnaire . Based on the research results , obtained chi - square value calculated at 21.051 with a significance value of 0.000 , which shows the relationship / association between leprosy reaction with the support of families with odds ratio value ( OR ) of 13.554 with a large correlation (r) 0.533, that indicate moderate relationship between family support and leprosy reactions. Direction of the correlation is positive, means that if there is better family support/endorsement of the family, consequently there is no leprosy reaction to the leprosy patients . So it is advisable for institutions to conduct periodic monitoring against leprosy patients and the role of families in caring for leprosy patients . The comlicity of family in the promotion health activities about leprosy is very important to give more information to the family about the leprosy treatment of patients in the house
