Abstract
Penyembuhan luka merupakan proses yang dinamis dan interaktif. Kegagalan penyembuhan luka dapat disebabkan karena panjangnya fase inflamasi. Salah satu pengobatan non konvensional dalam penyembuhan luka yang berkembang akhir-akhir ini yaitu terapi komplementer. Terapi komplementer bersifat terapi pengobatan alamiah diantaranya dengan terapi kuncup bunga cengkeh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum) dalam mempercepat waktu penyembuhan luka insisi pada tikus putih galur wistar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain true eksperimental research dengan metode Post Test Only Control Group Design dengan jumlah sampel 25 ekor tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) galur wistar yang dibuat luka insisi dengan tiga kelompok perlakuan dan dua kelompok kontrol (n=5). Tiga kelompok perlakuan diberi ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh dengan tiga dosis yang berbeda, yaitu 20%, 40%, dan 60%. Perawatan luka dilakukan pada hari ke-3, hari ke-6, hari ke-9, hari ke-12 dan pada hari ke-14. Rerata lama waktu penyembuhan luka insisi kelompok ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh 20% adalah 9,4 hari, kelompok ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh 40% adalah 8,4 hari, kelompok ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh 60% adalah 5,4 hari, kelompok povidone iodine 10% adalah 11,2 hari, dan kelompok normal saline 11,6 hari. Kuncup bunga cengkeh mengandung saponin, tannin, dan flavonoid. Zat aktif tersebut dapat berperan dalam proses penyembuhan luka. Kesimpulan penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil uji Pos Hoc (Tukey HSD) menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh 60% dengan Povidone Iodine 10% (p=0.10) dan NS (p=0.006). Ekstrak kuncup bunga cengkeh 60% cenderung dapat mempersingkat waktu penyembuhan luka selama 5,4 hari (5 hari).
English Abstract
Wound healing is a dynamic and interactive process. The failure of healing of wounds can be caused due to its length on inflammatory phase. One of the non-conventional medicine in the healing of wounds that develop lately and highlights many of the countries that is a complementary therapy. Complementary therapies are natural treatments such as therapy buds Syzygium aromaticum. This research aims to know extract flower buds Syzygium aromaticum has an effect in accelerating the healing time of wound incision in mice (Rattus novergicus) strain wistar. This research using design true experimental research by method Post Test Only Control Group Design. This research uses 25 mice (Rattus novergicus) strain wistar wound incision is made with three groups of treatment and two control group (n = 5). Three groups of treatment were given extracts of flower buds with three different doses, i.e., 20%, 40% and 60%. Wound care is carried out on the 3rd day, 6th day, 9th day, 12th day and 14th day. The average length of time of the incision wound healing groups extract clove flower buds 20% is 9.4 days, group extracts clove flower bud 40% was 8.4 days, group extracts clove flower bud 60% is 5.4 days, groups of povidone iodine 10% is 11.2 days, and normal saline group 11.6 days. Clove flower buds contain saponins, tannins, and flavonoids. Such active substances can be instrumental in the process of wound healing. The conclusion showed the existence of a meaningful difference between 60% extract flower buds with Povidone Iodine 10% (p=0.10) and NS (p=0.006). Extract flower buds 60% have tendency to shorten the healing time of wounds incision during the 5,4 days (5 days).
