Abstract
Penyakit tuberkulosis (TBC) adalah penyakit kronis menular yang menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat dunia, salah satu negara berkembang yang terinfeksi kasus TB adalah Indonesia. Dalam penanganan TB secara global, WHO merekomendasikan program Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTSC). Kepatuhan dalam menjalani program terapi diperlukan bagi pasien tuberkulosis. Pasien yang tidak patuh minum obat (DO) berisiko resisten terhadap Obat Anti Tuberkulosis. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi Drop Out pengobatan Tuberkulosis, diantaranya adalah usia, jenis kelamin dan area tempat tinggal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan karakteristik usia, jenis kelamin dan area tempat tinggal dengan status pengobatan Drop Out. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dengan kriteria inklusi didapatkan sampel sejumlah 82 orang. Berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan Chi-square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dan nilai signifikansi 5% didapatkan p-value untuk usia 0,995, jenis kelamin 0,725 dan area tempat tinggal 1,000. Ketiga variabel bebas tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap kejadian Drop Out pengobatan Tuberkulosis di Kota Malang. Meskipun tidak ada hubungan antara karakteristik usia, jenis kelamin dan area tempat tinggal dengan status pengobatan Drop Out, disarankan kepada petugas poli paru di Puskesmas Kota Malang untuk benar-benar memberikan edukasi dan pengawasan serius terhadap penderita TB dan keluarga, untuk menghindari terjadinya Drop Out.
English Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease that become the world health problem, one of the developing countries are infected TB is Indonesia. In the globally treatment of TB , WHO recommends the Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTSC) program. Compliance in undergoing the treatment for tuberculosis patients is necessary. Many factors affecting medication adherence, such as age, sex and residence. The purpose of this study is to identify the correlation of age, sex and residence with medication status Drop Out in patients Tuberculosis. This study using cross-sectional design. The sample was selected using Cluster random sampling technique with inclusion criteria obtained 82 respondent. Based on the hypothesis test using Chi-square with 95% confidence level and 5% significance value, obtained p -value of age 0.995, sex 0,725 and residence 0,816. The third independent variable has no relationship to the incidence of tuberculosis treatment drop-out in Malang. Although there is no relationship between the characteristics of age, sex and residence with treatment drop-out status, lung poly suggested to the officer at the public health center Malang to really give serious education and supervision of the TB patients and families, to avoid Drop Out.
