Abstract
Bahasa merupakan alat komunikasi yang digunakan sehari-hari. Masyarakat Indonesia menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa persatuan dan bahasa lokal di wilayah tertentu. Penggunaan bahasa yang tepat akan mempengaruhi penilaian seseorang. Baik buruknya tingkah laku dan sikap seseorang berhubungan erat dengan etika interaksi sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan penggunaan bahasa daerah dan bahasa nasional terhadap etika interaksi sosial remaja. Desain penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden berjumlah 95 (usia 12-13 tahun). Peneliti mengggunakan lembar kuesioner untuk mengambil data kemudian dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik Spearman Rank. Berdasarkan uji Spearman Rank didapatkan nilai signifikansi (p) 0.000 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara penggunaan bahasa daerah dan bahasa nasional dengan etika interaksi sosial. Nilai korelasi Spearman Rank (r) sebesar 0.466 menunjukkan korelasi (r) positif dengan kekuatan sedang artinya semakin sering menggunakan bahasa daerah maka etika interaksi sosial remaja semakin baik.
English Abstract
Language is a communication tool commonly used in everyday life. Indonesian society use Indonesian language as the national language and the local language in certain areas. The use of appropriate language will affect ones judgment . Both the poor persons behavior and attitudes are considered may influence the ethics of social interaction. The purpose of study was to determine the correlation between of language (local and national language) and the adolescent ethics of social interaction. Design of study was used descriptive correlational cross-sectional approach. The study use 95 respondents (student with the age 12-13 years old). Researchers used questionnaire to collect data and then analyzed using a statistical Spearman Rank test. The result showed that these was a significance value (p) 0.000 indicates that there was a correlation between the usage of local languages and national language with the ethics of social interaction. Spearman Rank correlation values (r) of 0.466 showed a correlation (r) was positive and had a moderate strength meant that the frequent usage of the local language the better ethics of social interaction among aldoscene.
