Abstract
Kemampuan Interpretasi radiograf gigi perlu dimiliki oleh dokter gigi agar dapat memberikan kualitas perawatan atau pelayanan kesehatan gigi yang baik kepada pasien dan masyarakat. Kemampuan dalam interpretasi radiograf ditentukan oleh pengetahuan, kualitas radiograf yang baik, dan prosedur yang sistematis dalam menginterpretasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membandingkan kemampuan interpretasi antara mahasiswa PSPDG FKUB tahap akademik dan tahap profesi dalam menginterpretasi lesi periapikal pada radiograf periapikal. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa tahap akademik tahun III dan tahap profesi tahun IV yang diambil dengan metode proportional random sampling. Besar sampel yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tahap akademik tahun III berjumlah 38 mahasiswa tahap profesi tahun IV berjumlah 22 mahasiswa. Radiograf yang digunakan merupakan radiograf digital proyeksi periapikal dengan kasus lesi periapikal yang berjumlah 3 buah yang diperoleh dari ahli radiologi. Mahasiswa diminta melakukan interpretasi pada ketiga radiograf dengan menggunakan lembar test interpretasi, selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan kemampuan interpretasi radiograf. Hasil penelitian didapatkan mahasiswa tahap akademik memilki kemampuan interpretasi yang lebih tinggi daripada tahap profesi. Mahasiswa tahap akademik memiliki rata-rata kemampuan interpretasi sebesar 71,64% dan mahasiswa tahap profesi sebesar 64,14%.
English Abstract
The interpret ation’s ability of dental radiograph need to be owned by dentist in order to provide high quality of dental care to patients and society. The interpret ation’s ability of radiograph is determined by the knowledge, good radiograph quality and systematic procedures in interpretation. The research aimed at comparing the interpret ation’s ability between students of PSPDG FKUB at the academic and profession level in interpreting the periapical lesion of peri apical radiograf . The research is analitical survey with cross sectional approach . The sample in the research w ere students of academic stage of year III and profesional stage of year IV that were collected by proportional total sampling.The total sample of this research were a cademic stage of year III of 38 students and profesional stage of year IV of 22 students . The used radiograph was digital periapical radiograph projection with periapical lesion
