Harahap, GraciaFelamanda (2013) Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Etanol Daun Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) sebagai Antimikroba Terhadap Acinetobacter baumannii secara in vitro. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Acinetobacter baumannii is a rod-shaped bacterium of the family of Gram-negative aerobic Moraxellaceae that can cause nosocomial infections . Leaves Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.) is known to have active ingredients that have antimicrobial effects . This study aims to prove the effect of ethanol extract of leavesCiplukan against Acinetobacter baumannii Ciplukan in vitro . This study is an experimental research laboratory using agar dilution method in order to determine the value of the Minimum Inhibitory concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) . Ethanol extract of leaves ciplukan concentration used was 7.5 % , 10 % , 12.5 % , 15 % , 17.5 % , 20 % and 0 % as Germ Control. From the results, the MIC concentration of ethanol extract of leaves ciplukan was 17.5 % while 20 % for MBC . Statistical test results showed that the ethanol extract of leaves ciplukan can significantly inhibit the growth of Acinetobacter baumannii ( ANOVA , p = 0.000 , p < 0.05 ) and there is a relationship between increasing concentrations of ethanol extract of leaves ciplukan with a decrease in the number of colony growth Acinetobacer baumannii ( R = - 0.776 ) . The conclusion of the study is ciplukan leaf ethanol extract could inhibit the growth of Acinetobacter baumannii .
