Abstract

Methicilin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (Mrsa) Merupakan Salah Satu Kasus Resistensi Bakteri Terhadap Obat Antibiotik Yang Patut Diperhatikan. Insiden Infeksi Bakteri Mrsa Ini Makin Meningkat Pesat Dengan Penyebaran Mrsa Yang Tidak Hanya Terbatas Di Rumah Sakit, Tetapi Juga Di Komunitas. Sedikitnya Pilihan Terapi Untuk Mengobati Infeksi Methicilin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Membuka Peluang Penelitian Terapi Mrsa Menggunakan Bahan Alami. Daun Rosemary Mengandung Senyawa Antioksidan Flavonoid , Carnosic Acid Dan Carnosol , Minyak Esensial Rosmarinic Acid Serta Berbagai Komponen Aktif Yang Dapat Berperan Sebagai Antibakteri Terhadap Mrsa. Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Untuk Mengetahui Efek Antimikroba Ekstrak Etanol Daun Rosemary Terhadap Mrsa Secara In Vitro . Desain Penelitian Ini Adalah Desain Eksperimental Laboratorium. Ekstrak Etanol Menggunakan Metode Soxhlet Dengan Pelarut Etanol 96%. Metode Dilusi Tabung Digunakan Untuk Mengetahui Kadar Hambat Minimal (Khm) Dan Kadar Bunuh Minimal (Kbm). Konsentrasi Ekstrak Yang Digunakan Yaitu 1%, 0.5%, 0.25%, 0.125%, 0.0625%, Dan 0.03125%. Pada Penelitian Ini Khm Berada Pada Konsentrasi Ekstrak 0.25% Dan Kbm Berada Pada Konsentrasi Ekstrak 0.5%. Hasil Penelitian Menunjukkan Secara Signifikan Bahwa Peningkatan Konsentrasi Ekstrak Daun Rosemary Menyebabkan Penurunan Tingkat Pertumbuhan Mrsa. Kesimpulan Dari Penelitian Ini Adalah Ekstrak Etanol Daun Rosemary Memiliki Efek Antimikroba Terhadap Mrsa Secara In Vitro .

English Abstract

Methicilin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (Mrsa) Is One Of Many Case Of Bacterial Resistance Which Should Be Noted. Incidence Of Mrsa Infection Is Greatly Increased With Its Spread Not Only In Hospital But Also In Community. Few Of Therapeutic Options To Treat Methicilin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Infection Gives Opportunities To Study Mrsa Treatment Using Natural Ingredients. Rosemary Leaf Contains Antioxidant Compound Like Flavonoid, Carnosic Acid And Carnosol, Essential Oil Like Rosmarinic Acid Also Many Other Active Compounds Which Can Act As Antibacterial To Mrsa. This Study Is Aimed To Know Antimicrobial Effect Of Ethanol Extract Of Rosemary Leaf Towards Mrsa In Vitro . This Study Is Using Laboratory Experimental Design. Ethanol Extract Is Acquired From Soxhlet Method With 96% Ethanol As Solvent. Tube Dilution Method Is Used To Observe Minimum Inhibition Concentration (Mic) And Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (Mbc). Extract Concentration Used Is 1%, 0.5%, 0.25%, 0.125%, 0.0625%, And 0.03125%. In This Study Mic Is Observed On Extract Concentration 0.25% And Mbc On 0.5%. This Study Result Shows Significantly That Increase Of Extract Concentration Of Rosemary Leaf Cause Decrease Of Mrsa Growth. Conclusion Of This Study Is That Ethanol Extract Of Rosemary Leaf Has Antimicrobial Effect Towards Mrsa In Vitrov
