Abstract
Definisi swamedikasi menurut WHO adalah pemilihan dan penggunaan obat modern, herbal, maupun obat tradisional oleh seorang individu untuk mengatasi penyakit atau gejala penyakit, Sedangkan data di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 60% masyarakat melakukan swamedikasi dengan obat modern sebagai tindakan pertama bila sakit. Sebagai salah satu penyedia layanan kesehatan, apoteker memiliki peran dan tanggungjawab yang besar pada swamedikasi. Peran dan tanggungjawab apoteker ini didasarkan pada filosofi Pharmaceutical Care, dimana kegiatan apoteker yang sebelumnya berorientasi pada obat menjadi berorientasi pada pasien. fungsi atau tanggung jawab apoteker dalam swamedikasi adalah sebagai komunikator, penyedia obat yang berkualitas, pengawas dan pelatih, kolaborator, dan promotor kesehatan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan klien swamedikasi tentang Komunikasi Informasi dan Edukasi yang diberikan oleh Apoteker. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih apotek mana yang digunakan sebagai tempat penelitian dan digunakan systematic random sampling untuk mengukur kepuasan klien terhadap KIE yang diberikan oleh apoteker denggan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat bantu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada poin keramahan apoteker, cara penyampaian infomasi, Nama obat yang digunakan, Dosis obat, Frekuensi peggunaan obat, Cara pemakaian obat, Informasi kapan obat digunakan dan informasi tentang kegunaan obat ang digunakan menyatakan rata – rata klien merasa puas. Namun, pada poin informasi efek samping obat, cara penyimpanan, kontraindikasi dengan obat lain, makanan & minuman apa yang harus dihindari beberapa klien tidak menjawab karena tidak disampaikan informasi secara lengkap. Pada informasi yang disampaikan, mayoritas klien merasa puas dengan cara yang yang digunakan oleh apoteker.
English Abstract
The definition of swamedication according to WHO is to choose and to use modern drugs, herbal or traditional drugs by an individual to cure some illness or the symptoms. In Indonesia the data showed that about 60% of people do swamediction with modern medicine as the first act when sick. As a health service provider, a pharmachist has an important duty and resposibility for swamedication. this duty and the responisibility are based on the phylosophy of Pharmaceutical Care where the pharmacist’s activity was previously on the drugs orientation and now it becomes patient orientation. functions or responsibilities of pharmacists in swamedication is as a communicator, a provider of quality drugs, supervisor and trainer, collaborators, and a promoter of health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of client satisfaction swamedication on Communication, Education and Information provided by pharmacists. In this research, it used non random technique or purposive sampling for choosing which pharmacy the research was held, while the technique of Systematic random sampling is used for measuring the satisfaction of the clients of KIE which was provided by the pharmacist and using a questionnaire as a tool. The research findings showed that the hospitality’s points, the way explaining the information, the drugs’ title/name, the drugs dosage, the frequency of use, the use of the drugs, the information of when the drugs are used and the information of the drugs’ purpose made most of the clients felt satisfied of the pharmacists’ way selling the drugs, yet in the point of informing the side effect of the drugs given, the way saving the drugs, the contraindication with other drugs and food and drinks which have to be avoided while using the drugs were rarely told by the patients because of lack information given by the pharmacists. To sum up On the information submitted, the majority of clients were satisfied with the way that is used by the phaemacist.
