Abstract
Diare adalah kondisi dari cairan tinja yang tidak normal dengan konsistensi cair dan ditandai adanya peningkatan frekuensi. Diare merupakan salah satu penyakit yang dianggap tidak berbahaya dan banyak pasien yang membiarkan kondisi diare tanpa adanya pengobatan. Oleh karena itu, apoteker memiliki kewajiban untuk memberikan konseling tentang penggunaan obat-obatan diare yang aman dan efektif. Salah satu alat bantu konseling dengan menggunakan program audiovisual berbasis komputerisasi yang disebut “Diarrhea Care Program”. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan “Diarrhea Care Program” sebagai alat bantu konseling pada kasus diare pada balita di apotek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan rancangan survei cross sectional. Penarikan sampel apotek dilakukan secara random sampling berdasarkan kecamatan, sedangkan penarikan sampel responden dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling didapatkan sebanyak 40 responden. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa konseling menggunakan “Diarrhea Care Program” terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap skor pengetahuan antara sebelum dilakukan konseling dengan sesudah dilakukan konseling. Dari 40 orang responden semua mengalami perubahan skor yaitu sesudah diberi konseling lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum diberi konseling menggunakan “Diarrhea Care Program”. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah konseling Apoteker menggunakan alat bantu audiovisual “Diarrhea Care Program” memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua dari balita penderita diare.
English Abstract
Diarrhea is an abnormal condition of liquid faeces with liquid consistency that marked by increasing frequency of stools. Diarrhea is one of diseases that considered at dangerous level. A lot of patients diarrhea doesn’t really care about the right treatment of diarrhea. Therefore, the pharmacist should have a duty to provide counseling on the use of safety and effective drugs of diarrhea. One of the counseling method tool by using computerized-based audiovisual program called "Diarrhea Care Program". This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of "Diarrhea Care Program" as a counseling tool in cases of diarrhea in children under five in the pharmacy. This study design is cross-sectional survey. Sampling takes by random sampling pharmacies based district, while sampling respondents using purposive sampling method obtained by 40 respondents. The results was analyzed using Wilcoxon test that had significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) so it can be interpreted that counseling tool "Diarrhea Care Program" had significant differences between the scores of knowledge before performed counseling and after counseling. All 40 respondents shown that had changed after counseled by "Diarrhea Care Program" tool. The conclusion of this study is the use of pharmacist counseling by audiovisual tool "Diarrhea Care Program" has a positive influence on increasing the knowledge of parents of infants with diarrhea.
