Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan warna kerabang telur tetas itik hibrida (putih dan hijau) terhadap indeks bentuk telur, fertilitas, dan daya tetas pada telur tetas itik hibrida. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jombang, Jawa Timur, mulai dari tanggal 14 Februari – 14 Maret 2018. Percobaan ini menggunakan mesin tetas yang digunakan berkapasitas ± 480 butir telur dan diisi 122 butir telur, diantanya 72 butir telur berwarna kerabang hijau dan 50 butir telur berwarna kerabang putih. variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah indeks bentuk telur, fertilitas, dan daya tetas. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukan bahwa diantara perbedaan warna kerabang telur hijau dan warna kerabang telur putih terdapat perbedaan yang sangat nyata terhadap indeks bentuk telur (P<0.01). Rata – rata indeks bentuk telur tetas berwarna hijau berkisar 75.10%, sendangkan yang berwarna putih berkisar 79.39%. fertilitas dari telur fertil yang berwarna hijau adalah 68 butir dengan persentase sebesar 94%, sedangkan jumlah telur fertil berwarna putih adalah 40 butir telur dengan persentase sebesar 80%. Daya tetas pada telur tetas yang berwarna hijau dapat menetas 54 ekor dengan presentase 79%, sedangkan yang memiliki cangkang berwarna putih dapat menetas 29 ekor dengan presentase 72%. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa warna kerabang yang berbeda yaitu putih dan hijau memiliki indeks bentuk telur, angka fertilitas, dan daya tetas yang berbeda. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah warna kerabang yang berbeda yaitu putih dan hijau memiliki angka fertilitas dan daya tetas yang berbeda. Rataan indeks bentuk telur dengan warna kerabang hijau lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan rataan indeks bentuk telur warna kerabang putih. Persentase fertilitas dan daya tetas telur itik berwarna kerabang hijau lebih tinggi dibanding dengan telur itik berwarna kerabang putih.
English Abstract
The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of color difference of eggshell in hybrid Duck on egg shape index, fertility, and hatchability in hybrid duck eggs. Hybrid duck is the result of a crossing between the Local duck, Campbell ducks and Paking duck. This experiment was conducted in Jombang, East Java, from February 14 to March 14, 2018. This experiment used an hatching automatic incubator with a capacity of ± 480 eggs and filled 122 eggs, including 72 green-shell eggs and 50 white shell eggs. The variables measured in this study were egg shape index, fertility, and hatchability. Result showed that there was a highly significant effect of egg color on shape index (P<0,01), fertility and hatchability. The average of egg shape index on green hatching egg was 75.10%, while the white color was 79.39%. The fertility of green egg shell was much more higher than that of white egg shell color. The number of fertile of green eggs was 68 with a percentage of 94%, while the number of white fertile eggs was 40 with a percentage of 80%. Hatchability of green egg shell color also much higher than that on white shell color egg. Hatchability in green was 79%, while white shells was 72%. The conclusion that results of the research was that the shape index, fertility, and hatchability are affected by color at egg shell.
