English Abstract
This study was conducted at Oro – Oro Ombo Village, Batu Sub-district, Batu, starting from Januari 17th to Februari 17th, 2018. The research purposes were 1). to analyzed the welfare level of Pandermania dairy farmers family based on the poverty line indicator of Central Bureau of Statistics and the family welfare indicator of National Family Planning Coordinating Board, and 2). to analyze the influence of family characteristics (family’s type, family’s number, parent’s age, parent’s occupation, parent’s education, family’s income, and family’s expenses) toward the poverty line indicator of Central Bureau of Statistics and the family welfare indicator of National Family Planning Coordinating Board. The data collection was taken by using an interview method with structurred questionnaire. The results showed that based on the poverty line indicator of Central Bureau of Statistics, around 17 members from 40 members of dairy farmers were classified as underprivileged family, who spent less than IDR. 339.537 per capita monthly. Whereas, based on the family welfare indicator of National Family v Planning Coordinating Board, 9 members of dairy farmers were classified as underprivileged family’s category. Furthermore, based on the result of logistic regression between the family characteristics and the poverty line indicator of Central Bureau of Statistics found that the number of family and family’s expenses was significantly affect. Based on the family welfare indicator of National Family Planning Coordinating Board found that the significant affect is the occupation of father. It can be concluded that family members who have finished the basic school (12 years) or already old enough to work can find a occupation to help the family economy. This is due to the high number of family members who can affect the condition of the economy of the family.
